So in my current grow, under an SG602 VEG and also an SG602 Bloom,
they are both placed side by side, length wise so they intersect but still have three different sections of lighting,
one pure blue, one blue and red, and one pure red.
Now, They are at week 4, aproaching the end of,
and the buds under the blue lighting only have no red hairs what soever,
on the same plant the buds under the blue and red have a bit of red hairs at the tip of the white pistils,
and the plants under the red lighting only are full of red hairs more than 35% of the length of the pistils.
Now if the red hairs are a way of determining when your plant should be harvested,
I think i could definately manipulate this to harvest buds for an extra amount of time to ripen while still keeping the red hairs to a minimum by using blue lighting for a longer period and then switching to red when i want to ripen at the end of harvest.
My theory is that this will happen to the thc as well and i will be able to prolong the thc from going amber.
However another effect is the leaves on the plants under the red light have more thc on the leaves close to buds.
I'm just curious as to why this would be, but i guess a more controlled experiment would be necessary to pin point what the case is,
and even if my observations are correct.
I don't know,
What do you think?
