pistols in veg

Is it normal for a plant to have pistols in the veg room? I am wondering because I have 3 mother plants that are all showing signs of pistols, especially my 6month old mother which has pistols all over it, no bud growth but tons of pistols. Some say this is a sign of a fast flowering strain? Any ideas....The strains are Whiteberry from Paradise seeds and Afghani and White Widow from Seedsman seeds........All are healthy, just problems with the pistols forming, my other mother plant which is Cannadential from DNA hasn't shown any signs of this.

If the plants are old enough, the pistols are actually preflowers which form at the node to show you that the plant has reached sexual maturity and that it is a female.
There is also a chance that you have an autoflowering strain, and regardless if you are vegging or not it will bud.

Hope the helps.
