im tell you right now that with any amount of rainfall that thing is collecting water and its going to come crashing down on your plant in 1 swift disasterous blow. and take the plant out. add some pitch to that thing so water flows off of it.

I've got 4 three foot pieces of steel in the gound that the PVC goes over...slits in the back to let wind through and it's positioned so that when the water drips through the wholes on the top it doesn't hit the plant. the plastic is clear 6 mil and held together with double sides tape and duct tape. It looks rikity (and kinda is) but it's is stronger than it looks. I'm going back today after a night of rain to check it out.

Well, it survived a night and day of wind and rain. I did some extra re-enforcement of the plastic to the PVC and poked a few more holes in the top. It just has to buy me a week or two of time..
