Agreed. It's the little guy you are punishing, not the big bad corportations. I guess it's a moot point since TTT lives in the UK and evidently pizza delivery guys make a living wage over there.

I've worked in the restaurant industry on many different levels, and pissing off the folks that handle your food is never wise. In other words : TIP. Trust me, SOMEONE will remember you as the guy that called in a huge late order and tipped 50 cents.

Then the pizza man needs to quit find another job, start a union or ask for a raise, Or the employer could just fire you and hire some 16-20 year old (Which are never really in short supply) who lives at home and doesn't really need money. If you have to survive by getting tips your employer is ripping you off, It isn't the customers job to pay the employees, The customer buys the product which is suppose to cover the cost to make and handling.

Expecting tips as employee pay is criminal on the employers part as far as I'm concerned, ripping off your employee's and your customers.
He deserves a tip for what? Doing his job?? (which half the time these people who want and expect tips no matter how they perform) There are many jobs that are minimum wage that never get tips, I had one for a good while.
And how about another Job? I'm sure the pizza man who is desperate for money isn't working 80+ hours delivering pizza's and still not able to make a living. He's working 4 hours a day and not doing shit in the rest of the day.

Wanting and expecting tips is the same thing as begging.

You do a superb job for me and I'll probably tip you, but almost all the time its just punk ass kids who hate working and the customers.
The employees have just tricked all they're employees with this tipping bullshit, so they don't have to pay them.

I do donate money to organizations I want to help and those little signs that are always on tip jars just remind me of the Hobo's down town holding bigger signs with the same slogan.

I tip for not waiting on that coffee refill and asking if there's any thing else I might need.
One time I was lucky to get my food served to my table the server was talking to friends
I left a note " I looked for your service you look for your tip".
But most restaurants charge a flat % of what their servers orders and the servers have
to pay taxes on it, even if they don't get tipped!

Tipping a shitty server is one thing...but tipping someone with a shitty job is another. The least you could do is give em a few bucks. I guess people don't get it because the have never done it. I'll refuse to pay any mandatory tipping "charge" if the server sucked. I'll fight the manager and make a huge scene if I feel like I'm tipping some lazy douche that doesn't deserve it.

I gave the pizza guy 5 shots of e & j for a tip before lol.Then he said he was stopping at the bar on the way back to work.
Dominos pizza is by far the worst pizza company ever.

The only reason this guy has a job is because I sat on my ass and called him to deliver it to me.
His literal job is to grab pizza and take it to me that's Literally his job, Literally.
Giving people rewards for doing their job, will just make them lazy and even lash out when they aren't rewarded for doing their job.

Unless y'all are doing something rude and compensating for it? I don't ask my pizza boys or waiters anymore than what their jobs are. I answer the door give him money take the pizza's.

Is there a delivery charge for getting pizzas in america or is it the same price to get one delivered as it is to collect?

yea most places around here have a delivery charge.

I use to have a guy come over that would bring me free wings for a little snapper.

A tip is just that, a tip, it isn't obligatory. If you were overly pleased with the standard of service that they are already earning a wage for, then yeah a tip is justified.
I don't understand how any employer can base an employee's wage on tips, unbelievably stupid way to run a business, or should i say an unbeliveably smart way. It's the employee's that are fucking stupid to put up with it!!!

i am a pizza delivery driver. I work for 2 different franchises. dominos and a mom and pop pizza house giordano's

dominos pays me a wage of 5 dollars an hour, requires me to have full coverage insurance using my own vehicle and fucks the customer and the delivery drivers by taking a monthly average of gas prices and uses that data to adjust the delivery fee. contrary to popular belief corporate pizza chains dont give the driver the delivery fee, its to suppliement the wage they have to pay. that 120 dollar check every 2 weeks. woohoo think 120 covered gas and wear and tear on my car? especially in 2 weeks i average 200-300 deliveries? if i didnt get tips id be fucked. i wouldnt be able to pay for the full coverage insurance they require of me. lol

on the other side is the mom and pop

they dont care if i have insurance or not, they dont make me wear a blue smurf suit and shave daily and push a broom back and forth for show on slow days. I sit in my car and listen to the radio and get blazed. gios doesnt pay me a wage. or anything. i get the whole delivery fee. 3.50 fee per order plus tips all under the table. so i use less gas, make more money, and am more happy. sucks to have 2 jobs but thats how kids get xmas presents and school clothes.


i have a long memory. i remember cocksmokers who are rude, i especially remember assholes who stiff you. When i come back to base and have 3 deliveries waiting for me, if a cocksmoking nontipper is in that grip of orders i will deliver it last, good tippers get their order pushed forward and are made well compared to a regular jackoff. if you cant toss a buck to the driver, then pick up your own pizza.

Also id like to add (i do not approve of this shit) that when youre renowned for being a nontipper or just a general douchebag, people will fuck with your food. Ive seen spit, pubes, sweat, piss, shit whatever go under that cheese layer. gross.
