Pizza?

Curious what types of toppings folks like. There is one memebr of my household who refuses to eat any pizza but cheese and pepperoni...which is the worst kind in my opinion. It's like having a piece of bread with margerine and nothing else, no lettuce, mustard, meat, jelly, anything, no flavor

I like combos, gotta have onions, tomatos, beef, olives, sausage, mushrooms, the more stuff the better. I do like the pineapple.canadian bacon types, and unusual specialty pizzas

Is there a certain chain the majority prefer? For my taste, sometimes the mom and pop joints are much better than chains, but if i had to pick a chain I'd say Mountain Mike's. Used to be a chain years ago here in Nor Cal called Rico's best pizza I've ever had. Sadly it is no more

Personal favorite: mushroom sausage, maybe also olive.

I have autistically strong opinions about pizza rightness. I am a Pizzatarian of the New York canon, and we recognize only the following toppings as consecrated:
Sausage
Pepperoni
Onions
Mushrooms
Green pepper
Anchovies
Olives
Garlic
Toppings outside the eightfold Canon are unPizzaly.
Three post-baking aftertoppings are generally recognized: red pepper flakes, grated Parmesan, and garlic powder 9which tastes usefully different from the pre-bake Garlic entry). Pizza does not need salt.
The Chicago Canon admits other toppings, but my heritage is mid-Lannic.

Now that I live in R'stan, the nearest epicenters of culinary culture are West Coast metropolides, with such satanic aberrations as artichoke, ham, pineapple, dried goat feed (spinach, still-recognizable pieces of Hellfruit aka tomato, eggplant even), nuts, twigs, berries, Pacific Rim weirdnesses, oy, the abomination of desolation.

Call me drive-through Amish, but I still adhere to the old ways. Pizza, as revealed to our forefathers, is thin-crust, has one cheese (at most one point five, for little melty cubes of yellow), and anywhere from 0 to 8 out of the Eight Consecrated Toppings of the New York canon. I leave the nouvelle weirdpies and quiches in wolf's clothing to the effete, the hipster antifashionistas who will spend $180.- on a shirt designed to precisely replicate the Salvation Army "$1 for 2" look, the drivers of hybrid Lexuses. For verily, mine is a voice in the desert crying "Pitcher of Bud wi'dat, capiche?"

I had a very nice but special combination on a ski trip in Austria:
- mozzarella and tomato sauce off course.
- blue cheese
- apple slices
- parma ham (or some nice air dried stuff)

This just tasted fantastif - but i do like the "New York Ingredients" stated above ;O)

Im lame and just like peperoni. Maybe throw some jalapenos on there too.
Not gona lie, Dominos has defiantly stepped their game up and im lovin their pizza if im going for somthing quick. You place an order online and their at your door in less than 30mins, the other day it took them 15min, had to give the driver a big tip. But of course I love ginos east and lou malnati's. Chicago style ftw

although i do agree that it's gotten better recently, i'm still not crazy about domino's pizza.. if i'm going for pizza like that, i'll take poppa johns, the works any day of the week over domino's...
there's this italian place near me that has the most banging three cheese pizza, omg, to die for..

Bacon, tomato, and basil for me! Or pineapple, ham, bacon and alligator! (yes, alligator!) ........... Pizza Hut is the only chain pizza restaurant we go to, but prefer 2 of the local "mom and pop" shops near us.
