planning out closet ventilation

I need to choose an exhaust fan to cool my air cooled light as well as exhaust the air from my grow room and keep it cool. I dont have very much money to spend, but i dont have very much space either so i want to keep the light fairly close to the plants (4'6" from floorlevel). Basically what im asking for is a cfm recommendation for my situation.

The grow area: 2'10x3'4x8' Closet (75 ft. cubed) door will be closed
The light: 400w hps 6" ac daystar hood, lumatek digital ballast
The plants: 10 hindu kush plants (later upto 20 plants sog)
The temps: tested overnight w/ a lights off temp of 80f, 6-8hrs of lights on temps were mid 90's @ 7am.
The ventilation: air will travel closet-->ac hood-->inline fan-->attic

if there is any more information you need to make an educated recommendation please tell me.

also if anyone knows any cost effective ways to help lower the temps, such as insulated ducting etc, please bring them up.

basically im deciding between 150-450cfm's i dont want to underjudge but i also dont want to be frivolous.

thank you everybody.

Your plan sounds great,Get a Stanley blower from walmart there on clearance for 30 bucks and will easily cool your hoods and the closet itself. You have to zip tie the ducts on 6" for the exhaust and 4 or 6 for the intake. These fans are quiet, powerfull [aprox 310 cfm on high but has 3 speeds] and reliable for years of 24/7 use. Now go buy one and save an assload of cash!!!

heres a link, don't buy it here just for reference.

i unfortunately don't have a walmart anywhere around me, thanks though this is just the kind of advice i was looking for. I'm a little confused how you actually connect that fan up to the inline ducting though.

Does it really get that hot in there? My closet is not much bigger than that and I have a 400w hps that works fine. All I have is two fans running in there and the door open 12 hours a day while the lights are on. Have you tried growing in there before? Or just going off the temp?

check out my system, i use my intake also as a dryer
and have a $4 intake fan with a 4 inch muffin fan and a 6 inch fan for exhaust out my window.
i have a flange on my exhaust to put on a filter when i flower.

i hooked them all up to a thermostat for $35 from ebay.

you could use the cool hood setup with one end open, so it also pulls air out the room but does not contribute to the heat.

look at my link for pictures.
