Well its not really my plant but its someone I know. Large Sative about 4 weeks into flower. He says at about 24 hours even it starts to droop and looks in bad shape after 48. Is that normal? Should I get more info like temps, grow medium, pot size, etc.

You def need more info but if your pot wont hold water, switch to bigger pots with new soil. If you can, add some promix to the soil or coco for water retention

If it is lack of water that's making it droop. Start bottom watering if you have a saucer. You fill the saucer with water wait 10 minutes or so, if the soil absorbed all the water fill the saucer again wait 10 minutes or so. If the plant needs more water fill the saucer again. You want to end up with a saucer full of water. Now that's only if the plants using alot if water like your saying it is. You don't want to leave the water in the saucer for days at a time. The next day if there's water in the saucer, empty it out.
you can get sum good water absorption in the soil doing it this way. I would not do bottom watering all the time, but you can mix it up with your top watering.

try introducing a night cycle if vegging it may make it easier on your watering schedule

Bigger pot with some pro=mix and add some water crystals to the mix. Soak the crystals in a bucket of water for a few hours first so they swell up and then add to mix and add plant.

Spot on... wick approach to watering... Don't be replanting or messing with light cycle this late in the game.

i would re pot it if it is in a manageable sized pot such as 5 gallon pot. i have re potted many plants and the more you do it the better you get at it. If done carefully the plant won't even notice.

if the pot is too big to manage without disrupting the root ball too severely i would follow CNN's advice above or set up some kind of automatic watering system.
