Plant dying form the bottom up

I’ve never grown in fabric but, wouldn’t the roots grow through it if root bound?
Ive got a clone in my deck garden in a 70gal approx resevoir, shes close to rootbound already. In another month the pot will become its own creature. I get rootgrass most years and figured its roots coming up for air. Might just drag one of them in for my flower tent. And reuse as long as l can. Cloth can take getting used to but l feel is healthiest for bigger plants. Any plants to be honest.

During heat wave it hit like 36 maybe more of at times when I wasn’t there to see it, litttally nothing I cold do. I noticed on some things f the smaller plants the the buds dried up then and the hairs turned brown but since the temps dropped back within range of 26/28 the white hairs re appeared and I thought it was coming back to life.. :(
I'm in the Mojave Desert and 36C (97F) is a normal daily canopy temperature and my plants don't do that. It looks grossly overfed.

Soils was just a biobizz normal soil, worked fine my last grow and I have don’t nothing different, Dutch pro, and I have two hps 600w and two quantum boards 250w
Biobizz normal soil doesn't link me to it but it doesn't matter. Look at picture 6 on a lower fan leaf you can see the Nitrogen claw and dark green.

You need to clean up everything under the net @Southernontariogrower was telling you. You need to get more pictures in normal lighting so we can really see what's going on with your colas and go from there.

Being rootbound is not going to cause the leaves to dry up and die like that. In the first few pictures the top of the soil looks rather dry. Is it possible that the soil got hydrophobic? I say that because I've had that issue myself in soil. Even though I was watering the center was dry as a bone since the water was just running off and down the sides leaving the center dry.

Soon as lights are on I will get in there and do it thaks

I normally Waite for the tops to be dry and then completely soak it but it could still be dry in the middle so I will inspect when lights are back on and try find out. I mite cut one of the fabric pots so I can see if it’s route bound anyway and then maybe I can have a dig around somehow and see

What are you feeding them? How much Nitrogen? Many times when they cannabilize themselves from the bottom up, it is from lack of Nitrogen. Its a myth to cut Nitrogen in flowering.

Top feeding, I switched from grow to bloom to early and there was a lack of nitrogen. So I fed some extra nitrogen for a few feeds and it stoped the fan leafs from turning pale green then yellow and dying off, I thought the lower death was just the leafs that he already started to turn and wouldn’t recover so many didn’t think to much of it until o noticed it started to spread to the buds. Also tue yellowing of the leafs looks a lot different to nitrogen deficiency to me

All Nitrogen is, is Protein. Humans eat fish, chicken ect, and our bodies turn it into Nitrogen. Plants skip this process. A plant needs Nitrogen all the way through flowering in ever increasing amounts.. Except the last couple weeks the plant neds less of everything, not just Nitrogen.

Weed needs just as much Nitrogen, as it does Phosphorus, and 2x the amount of Potassium as either Nitrogen, or Phosphorus.

Dying from the botton up, is usually a tell tale sign for Nitrogen deficiency.

Ok so I have checked and to my amazement everything is on point from feed to ph to the root zone. It’s not rout bound.. I’m just as surprised as you. So i have gutted the plant of all dead leafs and buds and after further inspection I have noticed that.. the dying leafs are mostly related to the buds that are dying. It’s seems to be the smaller buds or buds at the bottom of larger budsites if that makes any sense. I think the heatwave dehydrated/stressed the buds causing it to mature faster and dye… possibly, because there are small buds lower down that seem to be ok and I’m guessing these where produced after the heat… or it’s something completely different and I’m going to slowly lose the lot but my experiment is to Waite and see if any new growth or leafs appear anywhere and/or if any of the good stuff dyes of… what do you think?

I have literally just come across another thread showing a bud similar to mine….

Russet mites!!! I just put my microscope and I’m pretty sure that’s what I’m seeing, they eat they chi the pistoles and suck the plant of nutrients.. can’t even see them without a microscope and won’t realise until the damage is done … fml

Can a plant in a fabric pot become root bound? I’m have similar issues

I only feed them 1mil of a&b per litre. Pluse boost that I have no stopped
Doesnt mean its not too much. Try cutting in half and it might help.

I believe they do but in a different way, root mass gets spongy iñ middle of pot, root rot can cause too. Thats why l wrapped a few, to test them. Believe the root mass will be better if can circle in pot center.

If soil goes hydraphobic, water then place in tray and let pot wick up water, weigh by hand so you know when dry. Popped a ten pack in hydrophobic soil, havent watered since planting. Probably will let dry out, big pots for seeds. Out of 10 pack fems, number 12 didnt pop, didnt expect 11 to be honest. Both white seeds. The freebees no doubt. Russet mites suck badly. Best of luck eradicating them little bastards. D E is my go to for most sucking insects, cheaper than sprays too. Neem is not meant for me as lv burned plants in past, mind cannola has burt some too. Homemade insectacide works best imo.
