Plant getting way too big... LST?

maybe a few pics of the LST'd plant from its side of the greenhouse will give you a better idea....

Thanks guys. Just one last question though. I did LST pretty late. Only have 1 more month of veg. This is enough to get multiple colas right? She was already pretty bushy so she does have some size on the lower-middle branches.

4 weeks is a long time and major growth if you are on point in plant health and the stretch generally equates to double in size .

You have got it right by pulling it down, but I would be leery about snapping the main stem though with such a large plant. LST will work, but recovery time might be an issue if you do snap the main stalk. I would brace it so it will not snap, especially when your bud forms with the added weight. I would use progressively longer stakes to support the top and to hang your branches from, just to play it safe. Nice plant, you should pull at least 2 zips. Peace

Well here are those pictures of them two months after those first pictures I posted. Have a new question now though. At first I was trying to LST her and now that shes flowering shes getting too heavy and basically LSTing herself at this point. Im only at 4 weeks and the flowers are already getting heavy but shes still able to hold them up well. Question is should I support it up so that she uses less energy to hold up branches and focuses more on producing more flowers or would there really not be much of a difference? I know its almost impossible to tell about yield but any guesses? Close to a LB maybe?

I LST'ed 4 of my plants and now I'm having to support colas almost daily. Trellis netting has helped a lot but stakes and tie ups were needed also. I guess it's worth it though, lots of main colas.

Nice looking plants!

I would put a bunch of bamboo poles in the ground around the edges and a few in the middle an them throw a trellis net over the whole thing just in case. Loosing branches to wind or too much weight really sucks so I get paranoid about it.

That monster is just one plant but thanks man.
So it would be a good idea to support them?

To anyone who missed it the updated pictures are in post 30. PG 3.

Oh oops. Thought there were two. I have no idea if it will help your yield but I hate to see broken branches and buds falling in the dirt so I try to support everything as best I can.

Anyone know if supporting my branches up will increase my yield?

yes, it will, because you will not lose buds in the dirt if they happen to catch a strong gust of wind or sudden downpour.

you can support every branch very easily. drive 4-6 stakes into the ground around her, and tie some string every 6-8 inches or so. the stakes can be bamboo poles, furring strips, or whatever else you can drive 12-16'' into the ground. whole thing costs $10 max and you'll thank yourself when you don't have a huge cola in the dirt.

i just saw this thread tonight, saw how brutally you pulled that plant down, and just knew it was gonna turn into a monster. and it did. great job.

Thanks UncleBuck. Well here she is after I had to pretty much support all the branches. Im thinking its gonna be a lb+ because she still has 2 weeks of flowering which means she still has to swell. Im excited this is gonna be my first pounder.
