Plant growing slow? White Widow... Short & bushy?

This is my first grow..im using coco coir, perlite, cana A&B nutes... hydro farm grow light...


This is the end of the second week... it was growing extremely slow but recently started to grow rapidly but not high


Its barely an inch high

I just gave it , its first round of nutes... 1ml a.... 1ml b... plus water............


I'm being extremely careful with it because my first 3 plants died from nutrient burn

what could i be doing wrong.. the light is extremely close.. about an inch and a half away

I don't feed anything to my babies until they are about a foot tall. What Lighting are you using? I use cheap fluorescent tubes for there first 6-12"

cfl 125 watt plus a reflector

Try Raising the light to about 6-8 inches over. Keep an eye on room temps. Also NO NUTRIENTS... Plain water and feed when she gets bigger

If your in coco IMO you can feed smal doses at the seedling stage. I run advanced nutes in rock wool once my seed has popped and it has a true set of leaves on it I start at 1 ml per liter and graduate up till she's on cruise control. I did the same when I ran coco with no probs. (your line may call for a different ratio than mine as I'm not sure on the canna lines)

Just remember to get good run off so the salts don't build and fry your little lady. Another thing you can do is call your nute company they should have a support line and you can get all your bumps taken care of right on the phone, pry understand the line a little better too.

You have to do a small amount of nutrients, coco coir has no plant food in it whatsoever. I didn't and my plants starved after just a week.
