So I started off with 5 plants in a DWC system, used GH Flora for nutes. One of the plants (luckily a female) has been growing at a crazy fast rate. I ended up chopping down the other 4 plants to make room for this one. In veg it grew a little faster than the other ones but they were all pretty much the same size. It wasn't until I switched to 12/12 that this thing just started turning into a tree. Ive had to LST it every 4-5 days to keep it from getting too close to my 600w HPS. Third week of flowering and Its forming some really nice buds all over the place. The best part about it is that It doesn't really have a strong odor. Sometimes you cant smell the plant at all.

This was from bag seed so I don't know what strain it is but does anyone have any idea what it could be? I can imagine it will have a good yield but it'll make me real sad when I have to chop it down :-(

I was thinking about re-vegging it after I harvest it. Is that practical? Would it affect yield the next time around?
Also what I forgot to mention is that the plant was only vegged for 4 weeks.

and no ive neverr herd of anyone doing that i think it would strress it out to much but thats imo. id say ur rbest bet would be take a few clones and veg them then if it turns out to be some bombdiggity just keep taking clones....l

Seriously, you've never heard of revegging? .... http://tinyurl.com/6dywgqe

After the marijuana plant has ripened and the flowers have reached full maturity, it still responds to changes in its environment. Plants can be regenerated and can yield a second, third and possibly even more harvests.

In its natural environment, marijuana flowers in the fall, and then dies as the environment becomes inhospitable and the number of daylight hours decrease. However, if the daylength increases, the plants soon begin to revert from flowering to vegetative growth. At first, the plant produces single-fingered leaves, then 3 and 5 fingered leaves. Within a few weeks the plants grow at the rapid vegetative rate.

There are several advantages to regenerating marijuana plants rather than starting from seed. The plant has been harvested and its qualities and potency are known. The plant has already built its infrastructure. Its root system and main stem are already grown so that it takes less energy and time for the plant to produce new vegetative growth. A regenerated plant produces the same amount of growth in 45 days that takes a plant started from seed 75 days.

To regenerate a plant, some leaves and bud material are left on the stem as the plant is harvested. The stem may be left at nearly its full length, or cut back to only a few inches above the ground. The more stem with leaf material left on the plant, the faster it regenerates, as new growth develops at the sites of the remaining leaf material.

The plant started flowering in response to a change in the light cycle. To stop the flowering process, the light cycle is turned back to a long day period. The plant reacts as if it had lived through the winter and renews growth as if it were spring. Within 7-10 days new non-flowering growth is apparent.

marijuana seems to react fastest to the change in light cycle when the light is kept on continually during the changeover period. After it has indicated new growth, the light cycle may be adjusted to the normal garden lighting cycle

You can revegg it, however its difficult to argue with the clone taking approach...its used by most people, as opposed to revegging, for a reason.

You can revege it but i am willing to bet if you look at the lower portion of the plant you can find some branches that have not budded yet to clone. Even if you find one with a small bud on it, it will root faster than a re-veg. Just my 2cents..

Upon second look at the stalk you really do need to do your very best to cloan this plant, the node spacing is crazy I am going to sub this to see how it develops.

I agree. It looks as though he's growing a sativa with not enough light....the thing is just stretching the internodes

I'm using a 600watt HPS. I usually have the light closer to the canopy. They just grow so fast that I have to make sure they dont get too close to the HPS while I'm at work lol

Today was a sad day
My friend takes care of my girl while I'm at work and he broke a branch off on accident.
I don't have any rooting gel but I decided to try and cut some clones anyways.

My main question: Will my cuttings take roots in a 12/12 light cycle? I only have one grow area and I'm not trying to set up a new place just for the clones unless I absolutely have to.

Looking on the bright side, for all you guys telling me to take some clones... This was the opportunity so I took it.

The photo uploader is being a douche bag and won't let me upload a pic of the clones so here's a pic of a bud that had so much potential :-(:-(:-(
