Hi Everyone

I am about 5 weeks into flowering and I am getting some nice results but I am starting to have some issues on the leaves.

The room is approx 50% Humidity and temp is 70 degrees. PH is 7.0

The Plants seem to be getting rust colored spots on the leaves and edges. No Signs of Mites or bugs that I can see. I used a 30x glass to view, I didnt see anything but who knows.

I thought maybe I had a calcium deficiency which I used a lime solution to foliage feed the plants. Just doing that for a day so I am not sure yet what the results will be but I am not optimistic. I also used some Miracle Grow tomato food thinking I had a phosphorus deficiency. So far I have not had any luck resolving the problem. I have attached some images any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Looking at the plant I think you actually have a salt buildup, I believe you have over fertilized.

It can be tricky because sometimes a deficiency can look like nute burn and nute burn can look like a deficiency. It appears to me that they have plenty of Nitrogen in their system, you mentioned giving them tomato food, have you given them any bloom food?

I just assumed the plants are in soil since you said you used some miracle grow tomato food on them. I wouldn't foliar feed anything to them at this point in flowering since it could potentially cause some bud rot.

I'm no pro but If I were you I would flush them with some plain water before adding anything else. I made that mistake once, thinking I had a deficiency and then trying to add everything in the book to cure it and it just got worse.

Try and flush them right when the lights come on and maybe add an extra fan blowing at the soil to dry it out faster.

Otherwise you're conditions are nice at 70 F and 50% humidity.

That was what I was thinking as well.....just looking for a second opinion!! Thanks

The Miracle grow Tomato is good but you want to only use it at 1/4 strength as it is designed for an outdoor garden of tomatoes and has a lot more room to reduce that salt build up. I'd say your soil pH is slightly low as well, doesn't look like its getting any cal/mag, most likely because of the build up. Give her a good flush, and ease the nutes, if you ever have the problem in the future, try adding a bit of wood ash to the top soil to raise the pH a bit.

Hey did your plants ever come around?
Hi Everyone sorry for the delay in updating you, and thanks for the advice!

Well things had gone from bad to worse fast! One minute it was a few leaves but before I knew it it was all 6 plants

As I mentioned I tried the Miracle Grow diluted by more than the box says to. With no real results I ended up flushing the soil and that didn't make a difference all the time the problem was spreading.

I kept coming back to a Magnesium deficiency. I had watered with Epsom salts added before but that hadn't made a difference. Then I came across a posting that said to water with Epsom salts for the next 4 waterings. I had only done it for one watering previously.

Well the plants are starting to look better !! They are not the picture of health yet they used to be, but the leaves are starting to green up again and a friend of mine said they are getting more fragrent again. The problem really took a toll on my yeild though, bud maturation seemed to stall ! The plants start to look better from the top down, so when I look at some of the top leaves know they look very healthy like they havent in some time.

Thanks to you guys for your advise !!!
