plant/light question

I have a 150w hps and a 2ft 4bulb t5. right now im growing a monster (vegged 7+ wks) in a 3gal pot under both lights..

however next time id like to try growing only 3-4 plants (all in 1 gal grow bags) under these same two lights. my question is: is it doable (with the amount of lumens available to me w/ those two lights) and how short of a veg should i have? 2-21/2 wks?

i have 45 or so strains to go through so i need to grow more than 1 bean at a time or ill never get through these strains (searching for "thee" perfect strain for me so the more i can grow at once the better)


my plan would would to use the hps as the overhead light and turn the t5 on its side and use it as side lighting for the plants.

Yeah dood of course it's do-able the difference will be in the Quality and Quantity of your Buds though but if you have been growing and finishing with this 150w HPS you will know the quality of the buds to be expecting right? I mean i have finished many plants in 1 Gallon pots and they have been of decent size and quality of the buds has been good hard Top Buds and Nuggets but i grow under 250w HPS or 400w HPS and it is that factor that would make your final yield be of less airy and more compact hard Buds, ya get me dood?

agree with that, you could add one more of each light for more better buds, (two T5 sidelights and two 150 hps on top)
