i just harvested a banana sapphire. it doesn't really have much smell.
it has a slightly sweet (i guess banana taffy) smell with a slight black pepper spice to it. it is very understated.
it doesn't smell bad, but it's not DANK.
i harvested a a plant of a different strain too, and it also wasn't too stinky. i can barely smell them drying and i am right next to it.
the banana doesn't even smell much when broken up, but the other one at least has some stink to it when broken up.
any reason why? i ran a pure uv agromax bulbs and 301bs.

my last grow was stinking up the streets and friends grows have been so stinky it was a worry for getting caught...i could smell it when walking up to their house. anyone i ask can't smell it when entering the house or even when near the grow room.

Could be a strain thing. root zone issues, environment issues, bugs can prob reduce terps. In my experience my first couple grows didn't have much flavor I was using general hydroponics. GH barely has sulfur in their mix, which contributes a lot to flavor, so I switched to athena and I get good flavor now. Also, I feel like overfeeding can have a negative impact on flavor too in my experience plants that are nute burned will smell good but don't have much of a taste. Are you in soil or hydro?

hydro. 100% perlite hempy. GH floranova...i have always used this since moving away from soil and had stinkers...like omg lots of skunk and stuff. grow is sterile with h202. no bugs or anything at all. no root issues, just a super nice 2 gallon bucket of mostly roots. right now i am concerned with smells, taste will come as they cure i hope. it's hard to hope for good taste without good smell. i do nute burn a little, but i run super low nutes...i add about 200 to 400 ppm to 300ppm tap water...total ppm is 500 to 700ppm. they dont' smell bad, just not strong. the banana one is super light on the smells. sad banana is such a soft smell.

i have a large nose...it matters more to me than other people probably.
i had written the plant off (ortega, nl1 x nl5) compared to the others which stunk the place up. it was the last to come down and the last i got to try

turns out this plant is one of the most potent, with the longest lasting, most enjoyable high of the bunch with the least negative/cumulative effects with steady use

the nl5 skunk and critical skunk gave me burnout and the master kush skunk the high wasn't my favourite and not long lasting. after four months curing the nl5 skunk and critical skunk don't give me burnout anymore btw, but regular use can still feel groggy
