Plant Problem I'm having!

I am having a problem with my seedlings right when they come out of the ground. I am using jiffy organic seed starter soil and watering everyday with non chlorinated water in spray bottle. I germinate my seeds using the paper towel method. Once my seeds are germinated I put them in the soil. Once they have popped out of the soil I stick them under my 4 daylight 6500K Cfl's. After about a day that the plants are above ground they just die. Please help me with this problem?

That's a little bizarre...descibe your grow room, ventilation, heat, ph. if possible and we might be able to find out what the problem is. BTW I get a much better success rate planting them straight into soil, maybe try that.
Sorry to hear that mate.

I've used the jiffy pellets before. They don't have nutrients, but otherwise work great. The lighting seems fine, but I question your watering habits. Instead of spraying daily, put the pellets in a tray, pour the water into the tray and let the pellets soak up the water. Don't water again until you see a noticeable color change in the soil.

Another thing you should also do is lift the pellets, one by one, each day. This will help you get a feel for how much their drinking. Soon you won't even have to look at the plants, you'll just know by the feel.

My grow room is in my attic with a fan blowing 24/7 on the plants and temp. doesn't drop below 70 degrees. i have 1 light hung over the seedling and 3 around them.
For the lights i'm using 26 watt cfl's but 26 watts is how much they put off but there 100 watt cfl's. is that bad for seedlings? When they die they discolor and shrivel up.

Question #1......Is the soil wet enough? Dry soil is the only thing I can think of that would kill them that quickly. The only other thing I can think of is the lights distance from the plants. Are they really close? That soil should work okay, and the temp is good, so i can't think of anything else.

Soil is mostly wet all the time. should i pour water in the plate and let it soak up the water? The lights are withing an inch of the seedling.

I would put my money that the problem is caused by the heat put off by the CFL's. You say they use 100watts and only put out 26? Try getting some normal CFL's if possible, look for the real output not the incandescent equivalent because it seem's as if those ones's are burning your plant.

Also because you're using what I presume to be a fairly large room you may want to look purchase a grow tent and/or some stronger lights (HPS/MH)

Well they say they only use 26watt of power but they put off 100 watts of light. Where would I find normal CFL lights that wouldn't burn my plant?
