Need answers! Plant problem, Will it die? and other questions..
Basically from my other threads i've mentioned my CFL has broken -.-
theirs a couple questions i want to ask..

- My AUTOFLOWER plant has been by the windowsill since yesterday, because my replacement fan is coming on TUESDAY -.-, will it survive?

- If it survives will their be any decrease in yield / potency? im just looking for an OZ really or under

- I have a low widow auto seed which i want to plant if this dies but i'm wondering if a 125w CFL DUAL SPEC would be alright for it? i cannot get a high powered light atm for various reasons so please just answer that directly

- The autoflower on the windowsil hasn't really shown any loss of colour or anything but one leaf looks like its drooping

- Also i have one BIG cfl its a single CFl 125w dual spec, will that be alright if i got a metal TRASHCAN lid those circular ones and laced it with mylar inside and used that as a reflector? also to control heat in a enclosed enviroment should i directly point a 7 inch fan with 2 speed settings at the light or at the plant? will it crack? if so that i should ,

that cfl should work fine till you can afford a T5 HO fixture & bulbs. as long as youre giving them light, water, air & food then they'll be fine. for reflector ideas go to youtube & look up "DIY CFL Reflector"

i found one on youtube and made it! without the cost of the bulbs the reflector cost me less then 10 dollars to make!

Mate, 125cfl will be fine for one plant! The rule of thumb iirc with cfls is 100w per plant. And it should be fine on the windowsill for the time being... even better in the garden if possible though. Get that bitch under the light asap though. Happy growing, enjoy the tomatoes

Your current plant will be fine, autoflowering strains don't depend on the photoperiod for growth. You may see a slight decrease in yield and or potency but not much. This would be from receiving less light intensity resulting in a lower amount of stored energy within the plant thus meaning it simply can't produce as much. However if the duration of the plant not having adequate lighting is short, you shouldn't see much of a difference. As for the light you have, a 125w cfl will be fine for A plant. The dual spectrum (I'm assuming contains both blue and red) will be good for the entire cycle of the plant. On my cfls, I buy a disposable turkey tray and cut a hole in the center big enough to fit the base through but small enough to stay on top of the internal ballast. It's aluminum so it doesn't reflect 100% of the light, but you can shape it to fit your needs/space and it's cheeeeap.
Hope that helps.
