Pebbles are meant for Hydro, that's it (good on the bottom of the pot for drainage in soil) To aerate your soil (keep it loose) use vermiculite. Coco also is better suited for Hydro. Neither hold ANY nutrients, so they rely on a constant supply of nutes (drip/ebb and flow)
. You obviously are a primitive from Ireland or England, right? PPM means parts per million as far as base nutrients in your solution. EC (electrical conductivity) is the same thing, but mostly used in Europe (they always want to be special).
If you are serious about growing, along with a PH tester, you NEED a PPM/EC tester. Mandatory!!! Using the shit on the bottle as far as amount's to feed are ABSOLUTLY WORTHLESS! Don't count on that, as you need to be on the mark all the time, and if you add say some Cal Mag, you will fuck with the PPM of your formula
I definitely would repot now into a more suitable medium ( potting soil with some kelp is nice, mixed into your existing shit), seeing as you are not in bloom cycle yet. Give it a week after a repot to stabilize, and then go right to bloom.

Hanna Instruments for the tester. Not cheap, not the most expensive either, but good quality that will last you for years, if treated correctly (never let the tip dry out)
