what's up guys and gals....Im having a bit of a problem i got an aero a week ago and i germinated my seeds planted them they sprouted very nicely then i noticed about a 4 days into it that they just stopped growing granted they started to show signs of pistils or balls, i thought i might have been an issue with the PH levels because in an aero you are going to have that problem. or not but i didint use distilled water for it that might have been my problem but i got a PH balance kit i used a PH upper directly into the 3 gal. tub of the aero. i dont know if this PH level upper was my mistake. I guess my question is should i use distilled water for watering my plants so i dont have too worry about the PH levels all the time.:wall: someone please help greatly appreciated thank you.

Well im not going to hack on you, but here are the facts. First of all being 4 days into germination you are not going to be able to tell if they are male or female. Sorry it doesnt work that way. After you put them into flowering you will be able to tell. You have a long way to go. Second even though you are useing distilled water which has a ph of 6.0, if you add any kind of nutes this will affect your ph. Keep your ph around 5.8. This is ideal for hydro. You may need to check your ph a few times a day so you dont have a large ph flux. If you are useing a hydro system you are going to have to still check it at least once a day. If this is your first time i recomend soil. It is a lot more forgiving.

ahah word well it is my first time and i thought soil would be to much to handle, but guess not. yea your right i mean i started to see where the pistils or balls starting to come out from the stems and it's been like 2 weeks since i started germination and actually planted 2 of them in the aero pods. i have since planted all the pods. and i HAVENT been using distilled water. i have been maintaining the PH levels around 7, because i saw that the plants nurished better in that range, only due to the fact that at a lower level they seized to grow. they were booming with life the first week then they just stayed their same size for like 4 days now. leaves havent gotten bigger at all, they actually got brown spots on them prolly due to over nutes. but what do you think?
