Plant stalling on flowering & foxtailing?

Everything seemed to be going good, But i first identified it june 12th as a female and around 6/18 I switched the light schedule over (when completely sure it was female).

I noticed for the last 2 weeks or so the 'hairs' have been pretty much 40/60 red\white. The lower ones are turning darker, but still has some white' hairs'.Also, I noticed some buds raising out of the main bud on a few stems.

Trichome color is 100% white.

The plant produced very well for a first grow and am looking forward to harvesting soon.

Just a seed a good friend gave me and said 'its good'.

150watt HPS; Miracle Grow organic soil. Was fed Fox Farm grow Big and Big Bloom.

Thanks in advance!

imo you have another 3-4weeks left.
atleast...but call me crazy, i dont see much foxfailing...but it seems to be common on some sativa strains pushed past their prime harvest time..

EDIT: this is a good example of a budd foxtailing...this is not my pic btw

Hey friends, Thanks for the response's. I just noticed abnormal bud growth in the past week. I think it will fox tail in the next 3-4 weeks. I am finishing this to complete harvest. I will let it go as long as I need. In 2 hours I can post a picture of the abnormal bud growth (when the lights go back on.).

Your not even at week 8 yet. In my experience foxtailing, or dreading as I like to call it, doesn't happen until around its last week on flowering. Only had two strains do it though... I had a lone vanilla kush foxtail and recently my tangerine dream did the same. Even if you knew what strain you have there's no guarantee yours will do this. From the looks you have like 2- 3 weeks left but Id just wait for a little amber and not the dreading to tell you your done. Your leaves dont even look mostly sativa tho. I think you looking at a 50 50 hybrid.

Cool, I figured they may need a bit more time. I'm in no rush so 3 weeks is cool. Is Foxtailing common to a specific strain? I never noticed such growth before on plants my acquaintances had and looked into it. Glad shes doing okin the eyes of experienced growers. Thanks for all the help friends. :leaf:

If you dont mind here is a link to a grower using miracle grow organic too, maybe you could post some info for him about the soil as your grow seems to have gone well, a lot of people seem to bash on the old miracle grow but it gives good results in the right hands, any input about what you did and how you treated the soil for the grow might help him out a bit. Pass the knowledge on dude. Peace
