If you haven't done anything yet, you can separate the ones sharing a cup by gently massaging the dirt away from the roots in a bucket of water, then transplanting to their own containers.

I know what a thief is.
Your boy brings you a car. He says hey the guy has 50 of them, he won’t miss this one. You say you don’t care and use it willingly.
Are you a thief in that instance? Hell yes you are.
