im planting 10 pineapple chunk fem seeds next weekend in a 4x4 tent under 250cfl while i build my flower room, once the flower done il be taking a clone or 2 off each plant then putting the big ones into flower room and starting the clones in tent i only plan havin 10 big plants in flower room at a time but maybe have to bring clones in earlier as they will get 2 big for tent if i wait for the plants to flower before filling room again. heres a pic of the flower room and space i have, i was just wondering about what lights would i need 1000w dimmable or 2x 600w dimmable. i was gona use 18ltr wilma square pots with soil any ideas or thoughts please

Good luck man. I just grew and harvested a Pineapple Chunk and it turned out bomb. Top-shelf smoke for sure. It is extremely stinky though. My whole house smelled of skunk. It got as bad as even being able to smell it outside of my house towards the last week and during harvest. You should check into a carbon filter for sure if you don't have one already. Especially if you are growing 10 of these at a time. I got about 2 1/2 ounces off of mine after it was dried. Nice hard dense nugs that are covered with sticky trichs. It has a sweet skunky smell to it. It's kind of fruity too. My plant was grown in soil for about 5-6 weeks then I flipped to 12/12. It eneded up being nice and bushy after I topped it. It responded great to topping. I think it was chopped after 63 days. You can check out my grow journal if you want the specifics for reference in the future. I have read alot of people bitching about this strain taking forever to flower. Alot longer than the 56 days Barney's recommends. I loved this strain. It is some of the best pot I have ever grown in my life, so I am happy as hell with it. I was freaking out towards the end of my grow because this strains stinks so fucking good! I am investing in a carbon filter because if the wrong person smells that odor you are just asking for trouble from the law. Anyways good luck.

just don't forget to label which clones came from which plant because there is one particular pheno of pineapple chunk that is amazing as described by kentuckyboy. the other phenos aren't the same.

i've been growing this pheno for quite some time and it's definitely a favorite.

something to consider with the 1000 vs 2 600 watt lights is the fact that the 2 600 are going to use more than 200 more watts than than the 1000w with standard 120v plugs.
using lumatek as an example, a 1000w ballast draws 8.2 amps. the 600w ballast uses 5.47 amps, and 2 of them would use about 11 amps, or about 3 more amps than the 1000w ballast. people sometimes forget this when calculating their gram per watt efficiency stuff.

watts = amps x volts, so the 1000w is about 1010w and the 2 600s would be about 1320w of power consumption.
i don't know what bulbs you'd be using but the 2 600 would have that nice overlap of the light which would in fact be brighter than than the 1000w, but for a 4 x 4 space the 1000w should be more than enough. if you don't mind paying the extra 310 watts or so to the power company, go with the 2 600.

il be using the 2 600's then think i should use 2 dimmable or just the 1 and my sunmaster 600? i had for a while the sun master av got 250 cfl to start the clones and get them ready for the flower room. i need this out tent first i thought had about week but people saying 3 weeks at least. i had 4 of them in my cuboard under a net but had to get them out cos i got busted on street with a grinder full and my lass could only save 1 getting them out

Agreed on the pheno hunt necessity. I grew PC from a single seed freebie, and didn't get the dank pheno. Mine was stretchy with airy (but big) buds. Kinda pineapply smell, and a little sticky, but nothing to write home about. Mine went 70 days, and I felt like it could have gone longer, but I needed the space (planned on a 55-60 day strain, as advertised). Unfortunately Barney's Farm seems to really over-exaggerate the shortness of the flowering times for all their strains. They also seem to have wide variation of pheno types in many strains. I've grown three Barney's strains (PC, Vanilla Kush, and 8-Ball Kush) this year, and none were really as expected or as advertised, and all had a flowering time of about 2 weeks longer than advertised. I know that Barney's does have some amazing strains if you can find the right phenos, but I don't really have the time or space for pheno hunting too much right now, so I doubt I'll be buying any more Barney's seeds any time soon.
