I'm going to be planting some seeds in the woods. I do not have a clearing or anything like that, so my question is if I plant some seeds in the woods with out having the best amount of sunlight will my plants live. I understand I want have an awesome yield.

Has anyone else done this with success? What you yield?

you need a clearing, the plants require full sun. you will get next to nothing if they are in the woods.

if you plant in a wooded forest your wasting your own time, find a spot that gets light!

you know you spelled knowledge wrong in your avatar? thats pretty funny haha!

The first site I was on had a guy who had it spelled correct, and I ripped his name on the same site. It is still funny. I have others in the sun but I have some kc brains to get rid of, so I will be planting in the space that I have left. I'll be planting in late april. Do you think a half ounce is to much to ask for in this situation? Kc brains states they can yield 1200 grams per plant and grow three meters.

I grow outside in an area that has limited daily sun,( balcony overhang )... about 5 hours less then full open exposure..yes the weed does suffer..you'll never get primo with bad sun ex... This year try to find as open a spot as possible..and scout the tree canopy for future reference... The plant in my av is 1 bent to get max sun..I yield about 2.5-4 0z dry from each plant...

I got a scenario: Dense pines and trees with lots of bugs on there(more so in the summer)... everything on the ground is covered in pine needles... like dense, dense pine.. with the sun hardly hitting directly at times during the day.

what jusrushfc is saying is that, no you will not be able to grow in the middle of a forest or woods that have a canopy. your better off sending me the kc beans, if your just gonna waste them! not kidding.

lol.

There are clearings in the forest you can find, you need to till the soil too, you can't just toss seeds anywhere.

are you just hoping for rain as a water source?

never done a grow in the woods but will be...

lets see... start em indoors and move em out when there like 6 inches tall and the weather is straight?

do you need much care other than water and nutes?

i have a area of a bunch of pine trees ima try a grow in but there is big gaps and im growin in the gaps so they get lots of sun and are well hidden by bushy pines.

Sorry to tell you pine trees r no good. the needles that fall off the tree make the soil to acid. your plants will only grow about 2". And then a mouse or rabbit will come along and eat it. In truth, and Im not telling u what to do. but i started preparing my site in feb, clear brush put up screens for varmits. Be prepared to go to ur site a least once a week, be committed for alot of work, its so much easier indoors. LOL

If you start em inside you gotta harden them off befor you just sitck em in the ground
or they'll goin into shock and die

thanks for crushing my dreams guys. lol I'll find a clearing and I'm going to be tending to them once a week unless it rains. Thanks for the help guys.

Have any of you negative nancies ever tried growing in the woods? I did here in england, me and a few friends planted a couple of bag seeds in the forest, we churned the ground up a tiny bit and found a spot where there was a small hole in the canopy and planted some seeds in spots like that. We planted 4 seeds and ended up with 5 ounces in total. Rabbits ate one but the rest were fine, it works, so don't be put off.

My first ever was a herm transplant and i dug a hole and put it in there, came back 3.5 months later and cut him down. Over time i learned that a hermi can survive pretty harsh conditions and have since changed tactics to produce 10-16 oz a plant.

the woods are stelth all you need to do is do a little trimming and you will be fine you will get some less but put out more i always cut something down to make way
