Plants doing Great .... whats my max PPM?

I have an NFT system with White Rhinos and Granddaddy Purps.

RO water, House and Garden full line, Cal-Mag and Fulvic acid.
600watt vented hood, 1 6-bay & 1 8-bay T-5 HO and 1 150watt light.
Ph is held between 5.7 & 5.9.
PPM is at 1200
EC is 2.4

Just started the 1st week of flowering.

The plants are doing GREAT!
I have moved the PPM up from 750 to 1200 over the last 2 weeks and the plants are having no problems.
The res is 10 gallons and gets adjusted 3 times a day.
I keep a pitcher of Nutes mixed and add what is needed to keep the PPM exactly where I want it at all times.

Question is:
How high can I safely bring the PPM / EC ?
What would be considered "pushing it"?

I understand every grow enviroment is different and there is no one solid answer. I am looking for a "lick your thumb" estimate.

The plants will tell you.

When your res is returning nute/water back with a higher EC/ppm than it was given them then your feeding too strong.

For instance 1200ppm/2.4EC mixed in your res. after 24hours if your EC/ppm increases then you need to back off the strength.

If it decreases you can increase ppm/EC on your next top up.

That makes sense.
The PPM in the Res drops at every top up. Looks like I can go up another 50 PPM and see how things are.

just be carefull having 2 strains in the same rez as one might not like "as much" nutes as the other and you may safely raise it for one but be putting the other in danger.

im not really a hydro guy just a thought that came to mind..

To be honest I have to agree.

I used to run a wilma4 pot and never got higher than 1.5EC.


2.4EC seems massive to me. But I was using a dropper system with flood stakes not NFT.

I agree with Ecip's less is more. I grew two plant's in a waterfarm under a 1000 watter and never went over 1000 ppm. In the end harvested over 25 0's. You just don't need it.
