Plants drooping at night

Alright, so I've got a question about my plants. They're vegging on 18/6. They were started outside and just went under a 1000W MH lamp a week ago. Most of them are still on the small side, and are only about a month old anyway. They're almost all healthy looking and growing quite well. The past couple days while under the light they are growing up and standing tall, but have been sagging a little late at night a couple hours before bed. For an example, they're running on at 4am off at 10 pm. If I get home at 8pm and check them they are still standing tall, but then by the time I go to look at them right before the light goes out they are all looking droopy. Is this a sign I'm not giving them enough water? I usually water them a bit at night, and then by the morning they are looking perky again, but I'm just wondering if it's odd that they do that. Am I just shorting them on water a little bit? I've been trying to be careful not to over water them, but maybe I'm underwatering. Any idea is helpful.

Could be adjusting to indoors, I know that at lights out they tend to droop a little, they're just sleeping.

I did a time lapse video year's ago and I noticed my plant's did the same thing,up and down and it wasn't because of lighting.

So is it normal then? I gave it a little more water than usual this time and low and behold they still drooped tonight. As I said, I started these outside in early september, so obviously late to start. Like I said they started outside late in the season, so maybe they just aren't used to the 18 hours of light I started giving them? Or is this normal and sometimes they droop at night before lights out? Again, this is my first grow, but they look very healthy besides this. I'll post pictures tomorrow.

"Plants do not sleep you paralysed streak of piss."

WOW!! Was that really necessary? Why not offer advise instead of slinging insults?

Plants do not sleep you paralysed streak of piss.

they are lacking air at night, they respire CO2 during the day but respire a lot of air at night.
they get used to the warm very quickly indoors and if it is below 18c (64f) at night they do not fucking like it.
i keep my temps around 19-20c ( temp computer) and i run an oscillating fan 24 hours which they love at night.

always water your plants in the morning when indoors and make sure the water is 18c or a couple of degrees above .

do the above and the leaves will be standing to attention when you walk in there in the morning.

SLEEPING haahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

Keep disrespecting people like that for no reason and you won't be around here very long, just FYI! However, if you must insult someone try and do it with a little class, I mean "paralysed streak of piss", what are you 12, and you didn't even spell "Paralyzed" right, LMFAO!

So sleep or not plants do rest, and can only do/take in so much photosynthesis during the day(lights on) and at a certain point (no idea when that is) they are done with the light and photosynthesis and are ready for rest (night time/lights off). My plants have always done this and never had a problem. The plants can physically only intake so much of anything wheather it be nutrients, water, or light and act differently when they've had enough/too much. If they've had enough/too much water, the leaves will droop, if they've had enough/too much nutrients the tips burn, and when they've had enough/too much light they're ready for a rest and aren't stretching up to find light. That's my personal opinion that has been made up of hours upon hours of reading lol I hope this helps and happy growing !!! Not saying your leaves are drooping from over watering, lol sorry, I'm saying it's natural for your plants to be ready for bed after a long day of photosynthesis and will not need to be stretching looking for light but rather drooping or resting.

Yes, they seem to do this every night. lol. I was a little worried at first, but then by the morning they are back standing up.

Hey guys :) First of, you should know that the teachers and professors are arguing about this day in and day out. Personally i have my vegging plants with ligths 24/7. No issues, just good ol'fashion perky growin'. I read Op's post and thougth; what kind of grow is this? You have very little detail here. Could help asses whats wrong if you added more info. Someone mentioned watering schedule and someone else mentioned tempratures, these minascule details could be the source of inherent issues. But it comes down to what kind of grow your doing. :)

And if you checked your plants when they were outside I'm sure early in the morning at sunrise they were all standing tall and perky once warmed up of course and by afternoon, not too far from sunset they were not as perky and skyward as the morning, but more of a relaxed, tired looking lol
