pro-mix
earth box without the fertilizer strip
foliar fed schultz 9-14-8, then schultz 10-60-10, now peters 20-20-20
two days misting in between feeding.
1-250 hps, 1-150 hps 3 150 cfm's
everything looked good for three weeks then one started with yellowing and brown spots on leaves--then the two in the big box started yellowing with dead spots. did a lot of seaching and came up with the idea that i had a calcium deficiency-so sprayed with fertilome yeild booster with 1.5% calcium(calcium chloride) once. thing have gotten real bad now with most of the fan leaves gone. the last plant that looked ok has now started to turn.
now i'm wondering if maybe theres just to much water
an ideas?

Yellow leaves at 5 weeks of flower are PERFECTLY OK.
You are probably doing more harm by spraying and feeding them with every sh*t you found on the internet.
just let them alone and they will be all right. Use clear water only.
It's called a weed for a reason- does not need any special treatment.

That's bullshit. good weed requires an enormous amount of special treatment. Do you really think you can just throw a few seeds in the ground and come back in October and everything will be fine?

I think you're over-feeding, or feeding too often, and thus, over-watering also?
I'd try and let it dry out, then flush lightly, like just really over-water it, then I'd start 1tbs per gallon molasses immediately on top of that.

yes, lower later yellowing and necro-whateverthatwordis are normal, but shouldn't be massive type thing, ie:most at once. It's always been more gradual in my travels.

Also, too much attention kills more plants than it benefits, by far. IMO, you're doing a LOT of stuff in a real short time.

Did you notice the regular liquid Schultz Plant Food plus? Just ran into that recently again after forgetting it for about 30 years. 10-15-10. I'm bettin' it's real good bud supplement. I cut my teeth on this stuff (minus the +) growing Columbian, indoors and out, wa-a-a-y back.

Stop misting to try to save the leaves. I've found that misting once in a while during veg will help promote veg growth, which u don't want right now. Let the plant shed those dying leaves as opposed to letting the plant waste valuable energy trying to save them that it really needs to use to make buds.

Just leave them alone and let them do their thing .. water when needed and back away from the plants .. ,,,Go build a model.. Less is more

i agree. only on my first grow but found that getting a little too much of a green thumb kinda pisses the plants off. mine got all yellow and shit. just gonna "leaf" it alone. i know i know. but i had to.

actually weed has been growing just fine since the beggining of time without any special treatment . and if you live in the right place then planting them in the ground and coming back in october is all you need to do , mother nature has the greenest thumb of all.

yeah sounds like your throwing too much at them and over watering, you need to chill a bit on the feeding and watering . its a delicate balance of what nutrients they need and what will burn them to buggery .people have this idea the more they give the plants the bigger faster and better the plants will be ......not the case

U learn so much with every grow, or attempted grow. I read somewhere that the plants grow in spite of, not because of the things we do to them. Often times, probably more often than not, plant problems are caused by an overzealous grower using water and nutes like they were going out of style. U can learn from sites like this, people will help. But u learn the most from previous grows, watching what they do, how they grow, and how well they respond to the evironment u put them in.

Around here we call it schwag, and yes it can be done. People grw dirt weed in the mountains all the time, everything WOULD be fine but damn cops or narcs or whatever always get em first. u obviously know what ur doing as far as ur grows, enormous attention requires enourmous knowledge not to fuck it all up. :peace:

first timr grower gang and looking for advice...8 plants are at the 6 week of flowering mark. I am growing indoors under 400 Watt HPS. I have some nice buds on some and some just begining. I started with unknown seed supply so understand that they will mature at different times. What i amn just begining to get is a lot of the lweaves ar drooping and dying off. Particularly near the bottom of the plants. Now smaller leaves around the buds are begining to yellow. Am i watering to much?? I water evey day, about a gallon of water between the eight plants which are all in 5 gallaon containers. I also feed twice a week, a full solution of Miracle gro bloom booster, to much? I am considering leaving them be for about a week to let them dry out some. Will i be doing more harm then good?

Thanks for any tips offered. I will post some pics in a few days.

Ok, those leaves drooping and falling off are totally normal. Don't try to fix it with more ferts, this is normal during flowering as the plant uses up all the goodies in the leaves, they eventually die and fall off. My personal experiences with miracle grow have not been good. It super easy to burn ur plants with it if ur not careful.

Cool, thanks. What about harvest tiem?? I have picked up a 30x mag glass but i'll be damned if I can make out the Trichs!! Also, do you think it's OK to leave them with no water for a week if i soak them real good first to flush them out.

Thanks.
