Plants maturing quicker than others

hey!!
Newb here and first grow so go easy on me.
I've got 3 in my room at the moment and they all seem to be maturing a different rates.
One is way behind and has no orange hairs but that one grew a little too close to the light and burnt all its top pistils off which stunted it for a bit Im guessing??
But the other two have quite a few orange hairs.... One more than the other... They are only into their 4th week of flower and I don't know if they are going to be ready to harvest pretty soon, one of them sooner than the other, also need to know when to start feeding it this shogun dragon force which is meant to be used in the final week before the flush for a bit of a final boost...
I know a magnifying glass would be the obvious and sure way to check but can't get hold of one till the weekend when I get paid and even then I'll have to wait God knows how long for it to be delivered off eBay lol.

that shogun sounds like HYPE if ive ever heard it lol

what strain are they?

4 weeks? I can tell you for a FACT they arent even close to ready, give them another 3-4 and check again, if you look real close (no magnifying glass) you can see the trichome heads on most strains with the naked eye (so long as your vision is good enough)

you can see they look kind of skinny and not fat and full like youll be seeing in a couple more weeks, one of the biggest noob mistakes is pulling too early, patience is key

theyll mature at different rates if they get stunted for sure.

I have no idea what they are as I just had a couple of clones off some one who didn't know either lol.
So with out a magnifying glass I'll still be able to see when the tri's go Amber? Is that what I'm looking for and don't worry "too much" about the pistils going orange..?
And yeah I was hoping they would fill out quite a bit more.
Thanks!!!!

haha thats fine, just gotta play it by ear but generally speaking almost no strain can finish in 4 weeks and be fully mature.

yes that is correct, you should be able to see amber trichomes (i look for around 15% myself)

pistils go orange 2 or 3 times during the course of a grow I call them "diebacks" really not a good way to gauge maturity.

those look fantastic to me.

Most Indica dominant strains will finish in 9 weeks. So if you count the first day you see white pistils emerge as day 1 you can usually estimate they will be just about ready for harvest around day 63 or soon thereafter....that is unless you've got Sativas which will require a few weeks longer bloom phase.
You absolutely do need a microscope to check the color of trichomes but don't even bother looking until at least week 8. I got my 420 scope off amazon for like $14 & is a great investment. A rule of thumb: when all those white pistils turn orange you've got about another week or 2 til they are done.
Try to keep the canopy even next time - it's kinda too late for these but an even canopy with strains of similar maturing time makes timing the harvest easier. Keep rotating the plants daily for even light but maturation time is strain specific: running one strain you know well surely makes it easier. Try to go with all clones too if you can. Plants from seed are a bit less predictable.
