Not sure what's wrong but cleanliness should be high in the list. That looks like black mold growing. That would be bad.

With today's market and deals, I think that buying a tent and the right setup is the cheapest way. Just look up good deals and read reports and buy the right stuff from the start IMO

They look like they have a horrible nitrogen deficiency. Also the coloring on the top believe shows me that the light is either too close or too intense for their size. It may not necessarily be that you're not giving them enough nitrogen you may have a pH locked out

I agree, its hard on plant to be brown, AND to fix it...probably wouldwbe stunted either way, best to start over, and yes, the room is really unsanitary, will most likely lead to mold, or something else you dont want.

no one has asked the OP to provide more info. you can't just put up a couple pics and the question "what's wrong?" and get a decent answer. more info is needed.
one mistake was to put that many plants into such a small space. another mistake was using such a small fan. that homemade box isn't good, not to mention the dirtiness. unpleasant to look at and bad to grow in as plants will get bigger (provided you do it right). The OP could do this: use Dynagrow fert, one teaspoon per gallon in hydro, and see what happens. This is when you don't want to buy a ppm gizmo. Maybe the best thing would be to just switch to soil as there is a smaller margin of error, but soil always takes longer.
