Good thread. Interesting science. I know from exp that plants under stress can emit chemicals that certain predatory insects can pick up. But I didnt know plants can talk to each other.

there's a newish doc that addresses plant communications as well, it's a "nature of things" (david suzuki) episode called "smarty plants"..... such fascinating stuff.

lol, "The secret life of plants" was around before mythbusters. If you don't watch the whole thing at least watch that clip.

I love science daily! I've also started reading a lot of Michael Pollan lately, which I highly recommend.
