plants that smell like weed

my aim here is to get a list going of plants that smell like weed, i'll start with a little yarn:-

crimestoppers recently rolled out a load of scratch and sniff cards to enable the public to identify the smell of cannabis factories in their locality. a kind of grass up your neighbour/witch hunt thing.

in the news shortly after, an elderly couple returned from a 2week holiday to find their door busted in and house turned over by the police. acting on police intelligence (someone smelt cannabis and reported it). the smell turned out to be a harmless shrub in his front garden.

earlier this week..

Ive been working up scaffold getting frequent whiffs of cannabis from the garden below me, ive tried finding what it is but with no luck.. so im just wondering if any RIU people can name some plants.. I wanna do a mass plant up to upset the establishment

so is your intent is to get a bunch of weed smelling plants... to mask the smell of your weed smelling plants?
with the tools already reporting the fake smell... you are hedging your bets they wont look at your real plants?

In LA anything less than shots fired at a cop and you are waiting 10 hours for a car. But let me guess any one of a million officious intermeddlers will be phoning 911 because of their scratch and sniffs and they'll haul ass code 3 ..... just kill me now.

sucks to be in a non legal state.. here they are told dont call the P.D call code enforcement and then maybe they will send a guy out..

im not growing atm so no. upsetting the tools would just be fun.

over here the police can apply for a search warrant easy enough, if they raid you 3 times without finding anything they have to back off and leave you be. if my front garden was full of plants that smell like weed I could report myself anonymously, get searched 3 times then they'd have to fuck right off. Id crack jokes and make them tea as they searched unfurtively knowing full well they've used up their 3 gos.

of course lots of lucky people don't need to worry if anyone has some useful input relating to the original point then great!

You should also buy a bunch of those fake plastic cannabis plants, so that when they are going in for the big bust, they actually think they are successful for a moment.

get some skunk cabbage going that shit throws some stink they'll be like either theirs a skunk around here or someones growing some bomb skunky buds.
