Dude, you don't even know what you're talking about. First of all, if that is seriously one of the "dumbest things you've ever heard" then you obviously don't read much of the stuff here. Secondly, simply posting "shut the fuck up" isn't "checking" anything, it isn't rebutting anything; it isn't constructive and it isn't warranted. Furthermore it is against the TOS.

Thirdly, personal experience just as easily leads to confirmation bias. E.g. You have some plants, they withstand freezing temperatures for a period and go on to display male flowers... therefore it seems very much like the cold caused the hermies, even if this was not really the case.

Fourthly, this is a pot growing forum. Cannabis is illegal most places and the people who grow it often like to get high. Conclusion: this is not exactly the place for "definitive" growing information, really, no Cannabis forum is and I am sorry more people don't realize this. We're not affiliated with any college or university- hell you can't even be sure half the people here graduated highschool!

This doesn't mean that those of us with experience don't try to help new growers the best we can. But, we aren't all know it alls here and some of us don't even pretend to be. People who've grown Cannabis for decades have their misconceptions. Regular folks who grow legal plants have misconceptions. Ultimately, if you disagree with someone here, being rude and using fowl language doesn't offer anything conclusive either.

If you don't know what you're talking about wether from personal experience, or having seen it put in practice in another thread. Stop cluttering the thread just to say something, for the sake of saying something, that is completely wrong. Because someone researching (a foreign concept I've seen), comes to this thread, no thinks he may have hermied his plants and may over mother his plants trying to be careful and hurt his plants. Please show me something backing up hermy-ing plants, in vedge from it getting cold, or a piece of literature backing it up. Something.
