Plants VERY Droopy PLEASE HELP

I have a couple of plants getting VERY droopy. Pretty much the leaves are drooping completely down. I would take pictures but it pretty much gonna be the same as my description. They are an outdoor grow in SoCal. It gets pretty hot. Today its like 90 degrees right now. They get direct sunlight from 10-6. I also water them around every 3-4 days. I do only water them just .25 gallon each plant. They are in 3 gallon pots. One plant that is in particular droopier than the rest has yellowing leaves on the bottom, which I have identified as nitrogen deficiency and I have been working to correct that. Should I get them less direct sunlight? What could be my problem! Please Help!

its been hot out..so they prolly need more water
and the best way to fix a N def is to feed it N

soak the pots when you water em next time...and rewater when the top 2inches of soil is dry

Can plants die just from being droopy? Also you guys say to water more. Should I water more? Or water more often? Because when I water I already get runoff.

You must soak the soil once it dries out bady. The run off that you get is because the soil is very dry and it runs thru the pot. It needs a chance to rewet the soil. If your able to cover the holes in the bottom of the pot water hard let it sit for 2 or 3 min then unplug the holes and never let it get that dry again. the best way (imho) to determine if your plant needs water is to pickup the pot and if you think its light it needs water.

put some straw top of the soil to keep it soak.also preventing the pots from direct sunlight will help.

its either over or underwatered--- alot of pple say more water on here but it might be the exact opposite, giving a plant "more water" when its overwatered will essencially drown your plant , and no ur plant wont die from drooping , but u have to fix the problem either give it water or lay of the water, your plant only needs to be watered when the soil dries out, hope that answers ur question

so y is that to small, 3 gal is fine, i have mine in 1 1/2 gallon pots and there fine, yes i do have to water them more often but if u dnt like to attentively care for and check on ur plants often u shouldnt be growing,

Ok good to know that my plants wont die from being droopy. They do look sad though and that makes me sad lol. I think its underwatering so im gonna water them more often. I guess the 90 degree weather takes its toll on the plants.

A pic is always helpful! Sound like they ran out of water. You should water till you have some runoff! Or it could be a salt build up cause you haven't been give'em a little flush each time!

90 degree weather outside plants in 3 gal. pots...whats the date? ok...7-27...ummm, if they have been outside for 2 1/2-3 mo. they have some size to them...and .25 gal. of water just wont cut it...idk how u have any run off...i am an indoor guy in 3 gal. pots, and i use half a gal. per plant every 3rd. day, and my temps r in the low 80's...u need to give her more water more frequently...best of luck!

Thanks to everyone that replied. I started to water more frequently and gave them more water each time and they are doing ALOT better. I was underwatering.
