An ounce costs 20 bucks thats 28 grams. And a quarter which is 7 grams cost 5 bucks.now this is where it gets profitable Charge 12 bucks for a half oz that way u make that paper.the more they buy the cheaper it is a qp which is 4 ounces usually goes for 60 but if your a real hustler your gunna stick it to him and charge 65. and fuck baggies it doesn't matter how small the purchase is always give it out in half gallon mason jars.

is this serious?Are there bag sizes? Is it even an issue? And what are the standard (a true newbie question) weight sizes (also slang)? Is there a weight scale that is affordable? What is the going rate for a given weight? Thanks for the help.

You really shouldn't get into drug dealing. Its something you have to be raised into and get experience in to do correctly. Asking this shows you have no experience in it what so ever. Dealing marijuana is serious business. And like any other criminal business you need to be willing to hurt people. Anyone (even your mother) will rat on you in a moments notice. Especially a spouse.

But if you are going to, you need .5 gram sandwich baggies. Anything different, thicker, or heavier and your customers will think your ripped them off by (even if you are not) Slang is dependent on your area, so is pricing. In norther Michigan its 7-10$/gram and you give discounts for purchases an ounce or over.
There is too much shit you need to learn and I am not involved in that life anymore. Just minimize your risks is all I can say. Don't be selling grams and 1/8ths when you are sitting on fuckin pounds. And don't sell to just anyone. You need to develop connection over time that you keep happy and they keep coming back for more. Going around asking people if they want to buy dope is fuckin retarded. DO NOT SMOKE IN A CAR. Keep your weed in the trunk. DO NOT consent to searches. And do not deal out of your house, not even for one transaction. DO NOT brag about your weed or even let your fuckin dog know how much you have. DO NOT do fronts, no matter how much weed you have or a how close of a friend a person is. They are always going to be late with your payment, or not pay you at all, if you front (I can guarantee this 9/10). Weed is too valuable to front out.
That is just 5% of the shit you need to know. Good luck and see you in about 10-20.

As someone who grows for myself as more-or-less a hobby but who used to be heavily involved in larger-scale distribution, I agree with the majority of the above post.
It's a pretty nasty business to get into from scratch, especially at street level.
I'd recommend at least for the forseeable future just recouping some of your operating cost by allowing very close friends/family to 'invest' in your operation for a 'dividend' every so often.

But seriously check out the sewing/fabric section of your local supermarket..there you can pick up gram sized baggies, bags for 1/8ths etc and at a much cheaper price than smoke shops but smoke shops have cool little gram bags, intended for coke or weed, whatever.
