PLEAS HELP: Looking To Buy...

Ok, so I found a 150w HPS SYSTEM online with 150w bulb for $80.00. I'm only growing one/two plants at most so this should do.

I also found a 150w MH bulb, but it is made by GE & it is labeled a "Multi-Vapor" bulb, what does "MULTI-VAPOR" stand for?

Lastly, will my MH bulb be able to be used in the HPS SYSTEM or do I have to buy an MH ballasts as well? Is there a such thing as a duel MH/HPS SYSTEM so I can just switch my MH out for the HPS, how much do these run for a 150w? Thanks!

PS: HERE IS THE SYSTEM & BULB LISTINGS FOR BETTER DETAILS.

This light will not work for the MH bulb...you can buy a conversion bulb

Go bigger dude and get a remote ballast, they are hot.

go to HTG's website...upgrade to an air-cooled hood and get an inline fan (not a booster)

No i would not run a MH bulb on that ballast.

Yes there are ballasts that can run both they are the digital ones, but i dont think anyone has a 150 digi.
Just use some CFLs.

Stay away from anything that says vapor in it. Thats usually the wrong spectrum...:joint:

CFLs will veg your plants really well, for the first couple of weeks, after that, THIS is the best vegging bulb I know of. I have one, and my ladies love it! The proof of it's abilities is in the link posted in my sig.(Subtles 830W...)

It's the best because it's not too intense for young plants, and it has a 30% enhanced blue spectrum. if you have the money, it's the best.

Has anyone ever seen a plant that was vegging under t5s and than switched to LEDs. Its like growing your plants outdoors in socal and moving your plants to Alaska in the winter.

God they suck. Please wait like two years.
