Hi,
I guess you are sick of people asking around and complaining that the "babies" are feeling ill and asking for help and advice. But you guys from what I saw on this great forum, you have much experience and you've seen it all. So...please, give me some advice. I am new in growing babies(but I am growing them with passion), so I am still learning.
Regarding my setup...I know it's not how it should be, but it is what I can afford at the moment. So...one baby, one pot , one light.
As soil I used "Houseplant Compost" from B&Q, as light...it's one 500 W halogen lamp ( it's an industrial type...working lamp). I keep the baby at about 35-40 cm distance from the light. I don't have any ventilation but I have a small room where I am keeping the baby alone and has much air, but the temp is good. I don't have any pH meter either Regarding the light period...I am keeping it at 20/4 at the moment.
And...last my baby is 16 days old and ~ 19 cm tall.
Concerns that I have:
1. Isn't the plant to...tall? And if yes...that would mean the light is to far...but...if I'll bring it closer...I am afraid that it will burn the baby.
2. I've noticed on one of the leafs that there is a discoloration/ less pigmentation and the tendency of the area to curl from the side. What is the cause? and what should I do?
3.I am watering the plant from 3 to 3 days with about 400 ml of still water. Should I do otherwise ?
4. At the moment I am not putting any fertilizer on the baby cause on the soil they say that it's coming with plenty of fertilizer for the first 8 weeks, so I don't want to stress and burn the fragile root now. Am I doing it the right way?
I'll put some pictures, please advice.
All the best
