Yo peeps, I'm looking for good soil to grow my Marijuana. This woud be my 3rd attempt.

I want soil that can be used from seedling right the way through to havest. I don't want to transplant. I'd rather use nute

I tried Bio bizz soil last time and the plants died because they were other nuted. I should of gone with the light mix I'm guessng?. I treid using soil from my back garden and it never flowerd. So this time I want to get everything right.

Please I don't want to get this wrong again so recommendations please???

I'm looking at Bio bizz light soil right now. Would that work? without over nuting my plants?

Please any advice would be much appreciated

Peace

hey zeke,

sounds like you could do a couple of things different in your grow to improve things. the good thing is they are simple changes.

first, try foxfarm organic soil from a hydro store. mix in 25% perlite. there are fancier soil mixes but this works great.

do demand watering - water until some comes out of the holes in the bottom of the pot. let dry down a couple of inches then water again. you;ll end up watering about every three days.

you will need to add nutes with anything except pre nuted soil and that stuff sucks. nute after 3 weeks with 1/4 the strength recommended and you won't burn your plants. slowly increase.

as for this site, you should bump your thread in the afternoon so more people see it.

Any good premium potting soil mixed with pro-mix or perlite for drainage..I'd stay away from any moisture control or pre nuted stuff... IMO.

Cheaper if you just buy a bale of sphagnum peat moss, and a big bag of perlite, and a bag of earthworm castings.

I don't recommed using miracle grow potting soil.

Pro mix, Fox Farm Ocean are great if you can get them. Where I live, its pretty hard to find. Look for a hydro store as they normally have everything you need. But I definately second the opinion to stay away from MG. Not that it doesnt work cuz it does and i've used it a million times, but once you go organic or step up to the more $$ stuff, you will notice the difference. You get what you pay for and thats why MG is cheap.

that dirt is probably richer than the best stuff you could buy. farmers know their dirt. :-P

YO peeps I'm still I'm still a bit confused. DO I need Planting soil or potting soil? which one would work from seedling to havest. I've been looking at fox farm seems good but wont it over nute a seedling?

I'm looking at biobizz light mix. It's a potting soil is that the right kind? have a look - http://www.high-land.co.uk/acatalog/biobizz.html. Could I start a seed in this light soil without it being nute burned?

Not sure what the difference is between potting soil and planting soil if there is any. If bio bizz light wont work because it's a potting soil. What should I get?

You can find ProMix at local Greenhouses, so you don't need to find a grow shop, but you'll still need to call around.

all of those will work. none of them contain enough nutes to even worry about. i often use miracle grow.
