Please help Claw Leaf sugar on bud leaves

Your problem is likely caused by too much nitrogen in your growing medium or soil. Normally plants will have an overall DARK green look and have delayed maturity. New growth is often lively and plant transpiration will more times than not be high. Nitrogen toxicity will cause leaves to have “the claw” look. The tips will point down but the leaves will stay up as if when you bend your fingers downwards. Leaves can also be twisted when growing… it mainly occurs in new growths. Roots will be under developed along with the slowing of flowering. Yields will be decreased, because to much nitrogen in early stages of flowering slows down bud growth. Water uptake slows down from the vascular breakdown of the plants as well. Vascular damage does not repair itself.

There is a number of things that can cause the claw down look....heat being 1, spiked up and down levels of humidity is another... What amount of nutrients have u been feeding with?

I do that when I go to the bathroom. ...ok, most of the time I don't pray.

I noticed some minor clawing on one of my flowering plants. I was thinking mine is related to humidity swings.
Im using Fox farms. I use the recommended amount of 2 tbs per gallon every other watering

Nitrogen toxicity can be the result of built up nitrogen from the vegetative growth stage. Switching to a flowering feeding ratio will not lessen any built up amounts of nutrients in the soil so even though someone feeds less nitrogen once in flower, their plants still receive more nitrogen than is proper for flowering since there is an overabundance in the soil. It can take a while for there to be enough vascular damage and increased transpiration to see "the claw" but it can get it's start due to vegetative feeding.

Yup with Brick Top . . . .
Though flush normally, (GH florakleen is a brilliant addition to anyone's arsenal, helped me out no end when I was on my first rung of the ladder). Or plain PH'd water, but use 3 times the volume of water to the volume of your pot. 3 gal pot = flush with 9 gals. (with florakleen, you only need 10 to 15% run off, built up salt . . . .GONE)
Then immediately after your flush; water what you would normally water with a small amount of P and K (and ideally trace) in the mix, 0-10-5 or around that level at 0.6 to 0.7EC
You don't want to be flushing out P and K at this stage
What's your tap water EC, and at what PH do you feed and water at please ?

How much over doing the nitrogen is required to mess up e flower stage ( or the sighns that it's fked and not worth finishing), I never had any clawing and I did have sum what dark leaves , but I did have a slow start to flower / long transition period mine are deffs worth finishing but for future notice

Yeh im wondering the same thing now as I'm using liquid seaweed and heard its high in N but its only a seaweed tonic and it hasn't got an npk reading, it says it falls below EU regulations or something like that, everything seems as usual just the leaves are a bit of a deeper green than usual think I'll lay off it now and just use topmax

Do you know the maddest thing . . . .and it's as big secret of mine for exceptional tasting buds (my patients words ) . . . . half way through flush, I give a small dose of Molasses and wait for it, Nitrogen!!! The buds fuckin wreek within minutes of having it . . ..swear on your life bro . . . . . .
Try it y'all . . . . .
What I'm saying is N has an important role throughout our plant's lives, but an abundance, at the wrong time, wrecks havoc!!

Yeh molasses can bring a slightly sweet taste out but its mainly for feeding the bennies in your soil...great genetics make great tasting buds imo which u must have man..I might just carry on with the seaweed alls good so far I've just never hit em hard with it in flower before

Flush with molasses to reduce salts as well I think, just my two cents
