PLEASE HELP (drying/curing)

ok so i bought a half ounce of some purple erkle fresh from the pickin' i suppose.
its been trimmed up and dried, but is still damp and extremely sticky to touch, but very rough to keep roasting when i tried to taste test.
it was in a samwich baggie for about a day, i just an hour ago took them out and hug them in a closet with my fan circulating air.
is this the right thing to do, or is there an easier faster way to dry this out?

Does the stem snap or is it still flexible? If it snaps it may need some curing time. If it's still flexible then I don't think it's even dried. If it's the second scenario, then you did the right thing. If it's the first then I'd probably put it in a jar to cure properly, see how it smokes after that.

the stems do not snap very easily.
thanks for the input im going to leave them hanging around for a while.

Put your bud in a brown paper bag so it will dry slower. With a fan blowing it will get crispy and lose smell and taste. Once its dry enough to smoke some put it in a jar and open and close a couple times a day to cure. Drying takes about a week. Curing can take 2 months!

I'm w/SeaMaiden . . . maybe set a little aside for today, then finish curing it. You should see more weight that way, too. As it cures, if you wanna buzz, open the jar, take one out . . . it should be as smokable as it's gonna be for then within 1/2 an hour or less.

I saw what I will call a drying net last summer at a festival in Maine and am trying to locate the maker/supplier. It was similar to the multi tiered wire baskets that you see hanging in kitchens with banana's and fruit in the different levels. This dryer was about 30" in diameter and had two or three levels. You could hang it from a ceiling beam. Sure would like to find this item, Thanks.

Putting it in a brown paper bag is a great idea. That's how most of us cure our weed after it dries.

Yep! these peeps are right. You chop the whole plant down, at the base! hang it upside down for 3-7 days. cut the buds off and put them in a paper bag from the grocery store. and leave it there for two - 3 days. then it goes in a jar. if you put in the jar at 2:14 then you open it twelve hours later at you guessed it, 2:14. you pour the buds out and look at them then put them back in the jar. if you put them back in the jar at 2:20 then you open them back up at again you guessed it, 2:20. do it for about a month should have some killer dank! just my 0.02 ¢
