Please help! Flowering Stage problems!

Hello all! To preface, this is my first grow, and it was going perfectly until 4 days ago. We started flowering late june, and were at the point just where buds were beginning to connect. The plants are grown indoors, with CFLs surrounding, and T5s overhead. So heres the issue:
4 days ago I noticed that the ends of the leaves began to turn brown and brittle, almost as if burnt. The distance of the lights is kept approximately 3 inches away. We do fertilize, but only every other watering with FoxFarm products as directed. From what I've seen, it looks like they are burning, maybe they need to be moved further during late flowering? I also considered over-fertilization, and was considering a flush? Any input would be appreciated, I can't stand to see them like this!

A few more specifics about your grow room would help to determine whether its burning or not.

From the looks of the picture i would say possibly burning from heat issues or being over fed.

What light are you using?
Is that light aircooled?
what are you running temps of your room both night and day?
What are your running RH's night and day?
What system are you using? Hydro Soil Soiless etc
What medium are you using?
What nutes are you using?
What strength are your nutes?
How often do you feed?
Are you pH'ing everything? If so to what level?
Are you controlling ppm's or EC's? if so what are they? IF using ppm's please state your conversion factor that your meter is calibrated too?

Anything else you can think of?





I use a 600w Aircooled blockbuster and have my reflector within an inch of the tops of my plants.

I can tell you right now that THAT is nutrient burn, I didn't even have to read what you wrote I just looked at your pics

Flush ASAP, I use fox farms and am pretty familiar on what "most" plants could handle... But thats def nute burn. How much did you feed last time you fed them?

Foxfarms, right now, on the BigBloom/Tiger Bloom mix. watering about every 3-4 days, feeding every other watering. Watered with plain water on saturday, then wednesday with the nutes. Fed according to the schedule directions......is there any coming back from this after flushing?

I'll second that~nutrient burn~when you burn a plant earlier in it life this is how it looks later in life. When grew with fox farms I would feed a 1/4 less than what the direction said. Like if it says 2 tsp I'll give'em 1.5 tsp. I'm guessing you used ffof?

What wattage are you using?

Just thought i would add that im not discounting NUTE BURN but it could be an effect of both problems also.

Using ( 6) 25watt T5....(5) 26 wat CFLs. Temps of 85 during the day, dropping to around 70 at night. Room has fans for circulation (not directly at the plant) and a dehumidifier which keeps the humidity within range. Growing in soil, 3.5 gallon pots with FoxFarms soil with FoxFarm nutrients, according to the suggested schedule. Right now on BigBloom/Tiger Bloom mixture. Water approximately every 3-4 days, feeding with every other watering. The pH of the soil was high when I took it, not crazy around 7.6. That's why i figured over fertilization? The browning is only towards the mid-top area around lights, but they are not hot, and have never burnt the plants before.
No air cooling

ffof? I used all fox farms...starting with big bloom, grow big, then tiger bloom...but yes i did EXACTLY to direction. Never had any symptoms earlier in life tho. Does it just show up later? I guess ill adjust for my current vegging plants then!

IN that case you have a serious case of loving your plants to death, nute burn probably not helped by the pH.

I would personally use plain pH adjusted water for a few days or flush as previously recommended,

Follow up with around 1/2 strength feeding and try WATER WATER FEED WATER WATER FEED as apposed to every other time feeding.

Thanks for all the info! Probably going to flush, then follow your suggested water/feeding schedule. Hopefully they come back to life. I guess I was too by the books :/

Its nute burn , flush asap then no nutes for 2 weeks, then bring back nutes -20 %.
