I noticed my leaf edges curling in about a week ago. Then these rust spots started showing up on the upper leaves. Any ideas? I think its a Mg. deficincie but im not sure. I added cal-mag when I changed my rez 2 days ago.

My Setup
DWC
Temp=77
PH=5.7
Nutes= B.C. (Technaflora)
ppm=950 (less then recommended)
Veg time=5 weeks
light is about 8" above canopy

One of my new pups. I have 9 if anyone needs a guard dog for their op!

Yeah - the rust does look like mg def... but when leaf fringes curl up like that it is usually due to heat stress... Where are you measuring your temp at 77? Is that the temp under the light where these leaves are curling up? It makes sense that it is light generated heat stress if it is happening at the tops of plants, but if the canopy temps are really 77, then that does not make sense... most lights have hot spots too. I've seen just one or two plants burn under the corners of certain reflectors... try placing a thermo right over the inflicted areas.

definit heat burn. when they are in veg a 1000 needs to be at least 18 inches from the canopy. When they are flowering lower the light to about 12-14inch from the tops and continue to raise them as they grow. Thats not rust its folage burn. i would take those leafs off because they are diease prone. raise the light and see what happends in three days. if i were you i would have budded earlyer but im not you. goodluck
