I am making a stealth grow box that is approximately 2 feet in length, 3 feet in width, and 5 feet in height. Now I was wondering, could I possibly use CFL's for veg and flowering, is so how many would I need to use and which wattages. I intend on growing 4 to 6 plants. Please help me, I really need help here because I'm stuck

yes i agree with ev1 here about "daylight for vegging" "soft or warm for flowering" but im using 7 warm cfls @ 27w pr bulb, i have 8 plants 2 weeks old today and they look good. al walmart you can pick up the bulbs "27w "daylight" cfls' for $5.25 a pack ( 3 in a pack) thy also carry the Y adapter so u can screw 2 bulbs into 1 socket, very nice thing to have if your going cfl, also they carry electric socket adapters, small plug that can go into any electrical socket or extension cord with a screw in socket for a bulb. With those 2 things u can plance bulbs ANYWHERE, again i only have 7 bulbs for 8 plants, Just for vegging tho, will be getting 6 more cfls once i sex them for flowering, check my journal, the results speak for itself, best of luck in your growing.

thanks for replying everyone, all the information you have provided me has helped me out alot and I think I might us CFL's. I still want to get a 2 foot 4 bulb New Wave T5, but do you think would work for flowering as well? Sorry about all these questions, but I am very very touchy on the subject of light when it comes to me growing (my first grow by the way). I'm doing stealth so I don't think I can use a HPS for flowering because I can't drill anyholes anywhere for ventilation and I'm trying to make this as noiseless as possible.
