Hello RIUers. So I have a bit of a situation. I inherited an old Fedders model mini split and have lost the remote to it. I have purchased a replacement remote however the new remote requires the unit to be powered on to identify the necessary code to operate the mini split. So my problem is because I dont have the old remote so I cant turn the mini split on(no operational buttons on the actually unit....just display icons). The model number is Feauyhd024-h12d. I gotta get this running asap as im trying to seal my room before flip and my plants are ready to flip. So any help at this point would VERY VERY appreciated. Peace and happy/safe growing to all! PS i have read the manual and it doesnt help. this is a very old model.

Ok cancel that....all the numbers are not working. Seems the company went bankrupt in 2008 and was bought by some other company. If anyone knows fedders tech support number i sure could use it.

i did find a pdf file that explained how airwell bought them and now they are a holding of elco industries. it stated which warranties would/wouldn't be covered.

at bottom says:
All warranty claims should be filled out normally through ServicePower. Airwell-Fedders reserves the right at any
time to refuse warranty coverage it has voluntary undertaken with respect to products sold by Fedders.
All units sold by Airwell-Fedders will be covered under it standard manufacturer’s warranty. If you have any
questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Customer Service at (866) 829-2440. Thank you very much for
your continued support.

gotta help my fellow CO peeps!

Does that unit have a wire or input for a wall thermostat? If it does get one that has settings for temperature ranges for day and night. Like this one. It will reduce how often it turns on.IMG_20150823_152055_654.jpg
