Please help. Need good guidance.

So i was on a thread and about people jumped my ass saying my plants were unhealthy.

I was just trying to help the op of the thread.
Can you guys tell me if everything is ok?

They said my room was ghetto. I cant even smell my plants unless i go nose tp bud or shake them around.
Have 10000 btus of ac. 2000 watts. 2 600hps and 2 400mh. Rotate the plants between all lights.

Do i need to spend a bunch of money of mylar and side lighting and different nutes?
Any help is great thank you.

From what i can see they look fine and healthy. Your set up looks ghetto just because it looks like all your plants are in the same room you chill in.
Mylar is gonna bounce light back into the
the plants so itd never hurt to have some. These seem to be reaching for light though but not any more stretching than most plants would.

Do some searching on here and you will find that most of the time, happy plants don't stink. The smell is generally a reaction to something your plants don't like so much. RM3 has posted a few links and threads that can definitely support this and explain it way better than I ever could. I will say though, I am only going on week 3 of flower right now, however, my ladies don't stink either unless I touch them. Only time I can start to smell them is when they are thirsty, to warm, ect.....
 
interesting. any ill plants I ever had expressed very little odor and ill effects to boot.
my very best were stinking in veg long before they went to the flowering room.
most Terpenes have definitive smells, the more complex the terpenoid profile of the plant the more you should smell.
Like cannabinoids, terpenes bind to receptors in the brain and produce varying effects, the more complex the more desirable for many. Without terpenes at least in end of flowering I've never had a good experience with mj. Without terpenes theres little to no smell. little to no effects.

I grow organic style and notice that the terpene profiles change dramatically with changes in organic amendments.
Like pro mix with rabbit shit straight produces a much better plant than straight bat shit for example. Adding chicken pooh to llama
and rabbit shit is even better, brighter plants, more terpenes, more smell. I dunno...but mind is open.

why does it matter if your setup looks ghetto if it works for you and you dont get caught its perfect and the plants look healthy

I am growing infoors for the 1st time myself this go around, but I can go in my room and have a light smell, but the second I touch a stem or leaves, the whole room reaks. Lol Outdoors I never noticed a smell until about mid way through flowering. However, I am 100% with you on the terpin profiles. I was under the assumption though that terpins do not become pronounced until they reach maturity and are harvested and cured. This is 100% assumption though on my part based on things I have read in the past, not anything I am basing on fact or even experience.

Don't be daft dude, don't take shit people say so seriously. If you react to it (and you do) then it gets worse.

Plants look like they have slight nutrient burn. SLIGHT!
A bit of reflective mylar would help loss of light if you can place it strategically without screwing up air flow. That's your choice.

I know the thread and folks your referring to, they are good growers, but they like a reaction. Don't rise to it.

funny how I viewed the photos before I read the post and thought "what's wrong with these plants" LMFAO NOTHING ! It could use some BIG BUD during all weeks & some overload at final 2 weeks of flowering....... I mean you get what you get As far as bud density when it comes to light..... I use 2x1200 WATT full spectrum LEDs, LIGHT=ENERGY=BIG COLAS.

not all my plants smell in veg, but the ones that do are always keepers here incidentally. I feed until the plant is done eating and I harvest. I dry my buds for about 8-14 days before they are the best they can be. They always stink at harvest time, more when touched like you say. My buds never see a jar unless traveling. They've never been better than this for us so I stick with it.
pretty sure though its all in the proper love/nutrients/atmosphere controls/nutrients that allow my buds to be perfect without fermenting/sweating/jarring. some have perfected it some still need to sweat buds to make them right. Do whats best for you and all will be good.
I wouldnt worry about the smell right now as long as those other points are on point. Check all of them daily to be sure. Provide all it needs and it knows exactly what and when to do it.
 
One other thing man, INVEST in LED. You must hate your energy cost and having to switch and adjust plants and bulbs so the plants gets different spectrums. If you enjoy all these things, COOL! you got some tough ones on you bud lol ... LED LED LED hooray haha sorry

Yes my plants smell a lot when you mess with them or bump into them .

But you cant smell them sitting on the living room with just a door and a blanket seperating you from them. I use about 175 cfm negative pressure.

I want to try leds. Scared to change from what i know. Need to buy 1 try it and check the results.

I am using koolbloom with some epsom salt and molasses when feeding. Its a 10 or 11 week strain.

In week 4 allmost 5. Beginning week 5 will add something. But will try and stick with GH to keep things simple i use great soil and usually dont have to start adding nutes until week 3 flower.
Never used big bud. Is it worth it? Or is it just heavy in P and K?

Think i want to add something with micros in it as well when i add something at week 5.

Ok so it is a little ghetto. But it was all in a rush and cheap. And its preforming great lol.

No i dont necessarily hang put in there. Im in there a lot in the first 2 hours of lights on. Have about 30.
There is about 2 feet all around the containers that i leave open so i can access the plants for watering and rotating.
Guess i could splurge and buy 20 mylar space blanets from the dollar store ans slap it on the walls.

Thinking of either upping my 600s to 1000 and up the 400s to 600s.
Or just add 2 more 600s. And upping tp 40 plants. Need to max out the space.

What's your temperatures ? Terpenoids become damaged at high heats. That will actually reduce the aroma your getting from the buds.... terpenoids are sensitive to heat and are what give the plant its unique smell. Once those babies blow, all you'll smell is plant. When you squeeze a. If you'll get a hint of loud. Lol
 
I would be tempted to add a 600w hps one at a time rather than replace with 1000w.Those 1000w can really whack the heat up quick. 600s are more efficient, adding more for overlap of light and less shading is all good.

Other than there AWESOME organic line, NOPE ! I prefer using the high lee grade stuff. Although most expert experienced growers here would contradict that. Now imagine if those same growers used advanced. The qualities would be unimaginable. But they refuse too. Which I totally respect !
