When the calyxes start to form, you spray them with the silver. Those pistils will turn to pollen sacs. You can cross it back with itself or breed with another female. Takes a week or so of spraying but they'll change.
I wouldn't advise smoking any of the bud you get the silver on, but you can smoke the rest.
Just remember when you're breeding, take all the buds that aren't pollinated and leave the pollinated ones to grow out and finish seed production.
