canna soil is reliable and worth the extra £'s compared to the ground up pallets and leaf mold you get from super market composts (nasty and will cause probs)
i use maxicrop seaweed in every feed, but i grow in coco, i use it in place of canna rhyzotonic
if you haven't bought anything yet consider growing in coco its easier and you will get better results and quicker, good luck gem

Coco coir comes in bags same as soil at your local grow shop. Only difference is with coco you have to ph for hydro i.e. ~5.9 instead of mid 6's

i think growing in coco is much easier for a new grower, all i use is ..........
canna coco (soil/media)
canna coco A/B (nutes)
maxicrop seaweed
cal/mag (calcium/magnesium) i use the plant magic brand
THIS IS KEEPING IT SIMPLE
take this list of items to a grow shop and they will sort you out
all you need then is some basic pots, 6.5 ltr pots are ok for smallish plants if your growing trees 11.5 ltr pots
you feed them every day, with a watering can, you dont need fancy auto watering gear, just a watering can
you need to ph your feeds between 5.8- 6.5, and thats it, simples ;)

With coco you feed nutrients with every water. You also water more frequently than with soil because they don't need big pots like soil. For instance, its normal for soil grows to be in 5 gallon containers. That same plant in coco can be in a 2 gallon container. Do not use miracle gro because it is time released and general consensus deems it terrible for cannabis.

CFL lights aren't the best for cannabis. Your best bet is to get T5 fluorescent bulbs or metal halide light for veg stage and high pressure sodium light for flower.

Feed every time you water, and water whenever the coco becomes somewhat dry-ish. Don't ever let it completely dry out.

Personally, i would recommend a blend of about 35% coco coir and 65% coco pieces, watered every day to the point where about 20% of the water runs off and is discarded.

One of the soils used by UK growers is 100% organic BioBiz All-Mix

if you go with coco coir, the cheapest way is to buy the dehydrated bricks and rehydrate them yourself when you need them. not sure whats available in europe, theres a brand in the us called plant-!t thats cheap and available at my local hardware. the name brands should be fine, don't buy cheap coco coir, i got a 5 kilo brick off of amazon and had to wash a ton of salt out of it.
if you mix 25-30% perlite in it it will drain better. if you put a tsp of garden lime per gallon of volume in it when you rehydrate it you'll have to use a lot less cal-mag as you go.
otherwise i like it a lot more than soil. it doesn't grow plants as fast as pure dwc hydro, but its faster than soil by a good bit, if you start a plant in coco and one in soil at the same time, the coco plant will be done at least one week, maybe two weeks before the soil plant. at least thats my experience.

I use coco with General Hydroponics Advanced. The important thang about coco is it likes a PH between 5.4-5.8. If you have yellow leaves this be why.
