I have done a lot of research. And still I am confused. I have my first plant who if about 5 weeks old. To me its a beauty. It comes from a bag I got so not sure of strain. I have been looking for the balls or hair to see of its male or female but a don't see that. Can someone please tell me if they think I got a boy or girl. I think it should be in preflower by now

its tough to figure out at first from preflowers. I would read more and take a guess then change your lights to 12/12. when the "balls appear, you will know. it will look like tiny grape clusters. each grape just a little smaller than an o (size 10 font)

I wanted to sex as early as possible. My next goals of to learn to clone. Its my understanding that cloning while in preflowering or flowering is hard. This is the only plant I'm growing so I'm kinda hoping its a female.

and yes your plant is beautiful and healthy dnt let ppl on here knock bagseed i see no issue with it, alot of potency comes in how healthy and well taken care of your plants are not just the strain

Thank you for the compliment. I monitor and I take care of it on a daily basis checking her twice a day. I will continue to update the pics on here untill either I can tell or someone can let me know if she is boy or girl.

u should be able to tell that fine just on your own, it doesnt hurt to get a second opinion but u also gotta learn to trust ur judgement

Buy a book if really want to learn, right. Medical Growers Bible Jorge Cervantes Amazon has them used sometimes. save yourself months of aggravation for about 30 bucks

For one thing it is too early to Check Gender not SEX... Sex is what you do, Gender describes anatomy.
Gender is determined at light change intervals only after the plant's nodes start to grow staggered and not even. The illustration above is not anatomically correct to show uneven nodes.

[QUOTE the plant's nodes start to grow staggered and not even. The illustration above is not anatomically correct to show uneven nodes.[/QUOTE] i knew this because i just experienced it, but i didnt know it to be a fact. thanx.

dude its too early to tell, once you have it on a 12/12 cycle it will show. i just waited almost 3 weeks after the switch to see clear pre-flowers. goodluck

I guess with this being my first grow I'm a little nervouse. I did by the book for about 32 you recommemded which if i understand with female they will grow hairs and makes will have balls. I just saw neither. I thought I was missing something sense the plants branches are staggered now. It was my understand when you sex something you determine the gender, that there if no way to gender anything. If I misunderstood the terminology my bad. Oh and great book would recommend to any grower.
