Is one led enough? If you were to grow 4 plants in a 4x4x7 tent, what kind of leds and how many would you use?
Mars hydro fc 4800 600ish
4x4 130ish
Medium depends
Ph combo meter 220
Good filter 200
Fan’s humidifier and used dehumidifier 150
Exauht and tubing 100
A lb easy depending on medium

Some growers can pull 10oz's in a 3ft x 3ft but it takes years of experience, a new grower needs to start off in a 4ft x 4ft to have a chance at pulling 8oz's and it's better to grow 4 plants in that space(topping each plant once)
start to finish your look at more than 4 months.
You should aim for 2oz's per plant or you're going to be disappointed.

I grew a little before then, but when I really started to try to learn how to do it right was when I joined this site.
I remember my first grow, lots of plants, the environment was not good, 4 x 600w HPS, 30 plants 22 years ago
I pulled about 25oz's, I learned a lot but my plants and crop size, not great.

how about you, your first crop?

My first crops ever were Mexican brick bagseed grown terribly outdoor. Pretty shwaggy. My first indoor crops were nothing big either, but the quality was way better on those, grown from dispo clones in SoCal.

Are pots of 3 gallons each sufficient?

The key is what your end goal is.

If you want 8oz bud, you can do a simple SOG with 8 plants in a 2x4 or 4x4 if you have space.

If you want one plant with 8-16oz, that is ez for an experienced grower, just train or SCROG a huge plant into a tree.

If you have not grown before it is a big learning curve to learn basics, training and succeed well with one or 2 plants vs a quick SOG type grow.

Depends on how big you grow the plant and how much you want to water. That plant in my previously posted pic is about the max I'd let it go in a 3gal pot. It was in coco coir and perlite, so watering 2 or 3 times each day. If you do soil like FFOF in a 5 gal container, you can be more lazy about it with watering every 2, 3, or 4 days for a plant that size (depends on what phase of growth and how thirsty/hungry your cultivar is).
