When you mount your high horse and tell everyone what they should be doing for ethical reasons, it often has the opposite effect. For example, I went to buy a big ass block of peat today and the motherfuckers ran out of stock! Probably not a coincidence. They tried to sell me Coco. Said it was just as good. I told them to go pound some up their arses because peat rules.

Stupid salesmen don't know anything. Coco isn't just as good as peat. Morons.

It's better.

For what? Being dumb enough to live here year-round? 7 months of winter. Autos can't finish outdoors.
You obviously haven't seen the show 'Alone'. They drop people out in places like the arctic circle and they have to survive by themselves...usually they dump people near a bear den or whatever in late september then they have to wait it out until January. ;) They show up with a pack and a handful of tools and just have to make it happen.

I suggest some education to all in this debate. Peat is not the same by regions or definition. And vastly differing as used in our grows. As a peat user I see no serious impact our flatlands after harvest. Yet it is only black muck compared to your dried lichen and moss. LOL.

I can't get television. I get one radio station and only because it's on a local translator. I know nothing about television. But I know Jesse Holmes is a local joke around here and he's on some reality show. Then Dr Dee Alaska Vet has started a legal cannabis operation. Her reality show is over.

I just reuse mine. Potting soils to expensive to just be throwing away, just add some worm castings and dry amendments. When you don’t have a grow store nearby and use Amazon a 1.5cuft bag of roots organic is frigging $30

I know you know what the black, black muck on the dry dredge are. Our peat. And how much per person from the gov for rights now? Doing math to move thing. LOL. But yeah.

No real loss. We don't have cable/satellite/broadcast. I stream whatever here and there from grey-area sites but it's not a lifestyle priority for us, certainly.

Shit in an outhouse. Even at -58.
Yeezus. Hardcore. I actually saw that on a tv " reality" show based in Alaska, Mckinley maybe? Anyways, a very old man who lived all by himself spared hinself the wind up his ass come winter time...
