i usually change out every week. i let it go for 2 weeks this time around (taking the advice of some) that said there was no need to change weekly. as i stated i just did a res change yesterday. i do dose it with h202 every few daysRoot Rot or Pythium is a fungal disease, slime on roots is a bacterium, how often do you change that rez...? weekly ...? as the chlorine should kill the bacteria
is this a substitute for h202? or would i add both?HTH Shock 'n Swim. Mix 1/4 - 1/2 tsp per gallon to RO or Spring/Distilled water (let stand for 1 - 2 hrs then shake very well) and add this diluted mixture to rez at the rate of 7.5 ml/gallon every 4 - 5 days and at every rez change. Problems will be eliminated.
I'd go with just the shock for starters in cloners and H2O2 in your rez. Both have been of help to me in hydro. Maybe Vostok thinks I'm a "bullshit troller", but I don't claim to be anyone other than an individual who strives to help others through my experiences. I guess he's the "Resident Expert" of DWC/RDWC. If so, then ignore my posts and proceed as directed... (p.s. - I have no reason to hate on Vostok, but his post implies that I'm among the cast of "bullshit trollers"...to that I do take offense). If this is not the case, then he can clarify and this post can be ignored.is this a substitute for h202? or would i add both?
