Please tell me there is hope!! Moldy bud

Just found mold on bud that was in a jar, I made a newb mistake and thought it was dry enough to jar, not so much. I've read, freeze then dry (VV) , treat with isopropyl alcohol, and treat with peroxide. Now I get the freeze and redry, its the other two I don't know about. What is the best way to stop the spread of mold? It's not completely covered but that shit wasn't even visible yesterday. PS I only have 4 hrs to try the 2nd two methods, so lets hear it.

If all the buds are not mouldy take the good ones out and let the air get to them asap!, then let them dry correctly before jarring them, also you are supposed to open the jar at least twice a day for the first week or two to let the chlorophyll and moisture out. The mouldy bud i wouldnt smoke so i dont know what you could do with it.

theres a way to put it in water and all the mold spores will float to the top (im pretty sure I read that on the bubblebag.com websiet FAQ) and yo can tur it into bubble hash.

so can I do an alcohol wash some how and collect a small amount of hash? This is maybe 1/8 that I ended up trimming off. I decided to trim, freeze, and rehang to dry. Just hate to be wasteful.

Well alcohol is a way of extracting and making hash. I use 99% Isopropyl Alcohol on my spent vaped bud and make a little hash out of it. I can't say if it'll take the thc and kill the mold on your stuff, but as said, if it's just an 8th I'd cut your loses and make do with what you got. Mold can cause some serious resiraptory problems.

Good for you. Glad you bothered looking. When I came across 'water curing' I couldn't believe my eyes. Never heard of it, but it kinda makes sense, and with any luck, could save your moldy weed. keep us posted.

In laws coming in tomorrow, will have to wait till they leave. In a jar in the freezer till then.

make some milk extract (simmered for an hour) yesterday and made a fresh fruit slushy (used least suspect buds) with blueberries, peaches, and strawberries. Still tasted a little funky to me, could have just been the chronic taste in general, but I couldn't get the thought of drinking mold out of my head. Still alive and kicking so far, and was I ever stoned yesterday!
