Ples help a noob

Hello there first I'd like to start by apologizing if this is being posted in the wrong form, Admins/mods please move if it is. Ok moving on I have a 4ft. x 2ft grow box that has a two 23w. cfl. that replace 115w. I have 2 large cpu fans for intake and 1 large cpu fan for outake, that I'm currently using to grow a bubba kush clone that I was given from one of the mmj co-ops I go to here in Cali. Is this enough ligt cause i've been using it for the last 3weeks and I see alot of new growth but alot of the mother leafs are falling off and a friend of mine which is a closet grower told me that is normal. Is it? Right now I'm on a fixed income and growing my own meds would be really aswome, however I've never grown before. I've been reading different post on the cfl thread and I've been changing my grox box just about weekly.
Another question I have is about watering, I have a 8oz pot. How much water should I be giving it? For the last 3wks I've been given it 1pint. every 3days is this enough.

Ive been waiting for my nuts to come they should be here any day, once they come I plan on given the clone nuts and trans planting here into a 2gal. bucket once I do that how much water should I be given here?

The good news is you can grow just fine with cfls. The bad news is 2 23w might barely be enough to veg one plant but it isn't nearly enough to go to flower.

I'm a noob as well, but from what i know to be true, is that you need more lights. If you really want to stick with cfl's, then either get bigger wattage bulbs or get more of the ones you got. I suggest the first idea.
You can also get cfl's in a different spectrum (2700K or warm color) that is good for the flowering phase.
Check out ebay. They have alot of stuff like THIS.

im doing a closet cfl grow aswell , i got 3x14watt t5 tubes , 1x15watt ,1x20watt and a 65watt , and i know this will only just last me a month or 2 until the plants are bigger. go get some y splitters and some more cfls , make sure the majority of lights are 6500k with 1-2 2700k , then switch in flowering.

Alright sounds like I need to get myself more lights. Help about the watering questin? I looked under 101 questions already asked but I really dont understand what they mean.

How many of these would you suggest that I get cause thats alot of money for just one light, Im one a fixed income.

I'd say I one of those 250's i linked you to per plant should be enough. If you're on a budget get 1 6500K 250w CFL for veg phase and 2 2700w 250w CFL for flowering phase.
If you're on a really tight budget, then just get one of each. You WILL NEED THE 2700K BULB and about twice as much power as you used for veg.

Two more bulbs like the ones you have will be enough to veg one plant. (Make sure they are 6500K) You'll want more though, and in the 2700K range, for flowering. Make sure to keep the lights about an inch or two from the plant.

if your have a small pot water every 3-4 days if its big 5-7 days , remember u want the roots to stretch out and look for water so it wont harm them if it dries out a tad

thanks for everyone advice, Ive upped my box to 3 more 46w cfl's and waiting to get the 250w cfl that i was reffered to get. So for my watering question ive read that I should be watering every 3days, I also got some aqua globes and my plants seem to be loving them.

Is there by chance a guide somewhere on here that I can get a link to on how to grow using cfl. Anyways i'll keep eveyrone posted when theres more to know.

Hello ppl if I'm posting in the wrong place sorry..I got 8 sprouts from 1/4 to 3 inches I got 2 120 sylvania lights is that enough

just a daily bump add the clone to a 3 gallon bucket over the weekend and noticed some new growth from the bottem leaves. I was thinking of trying to LST this plant does anyone have any advice? How much would one guess that I'd yield off of one clone?

Ok heres a question I hace about co2. I havent been giving my plant co2 is this good or bad and does my plant need it? Does baking soda and vinger work well for the co2 method? Also another qustion my top leaves are turning a redish - gloden brown. Is this from sitting under the light. I have 1. 100watt cfl. and 2. 23watt cfl. in my grow box and Im not sure where the coloring is from the clone is about 8inchs tall and has several leaves.

No need to add extra CO2 for small grows, the are enough CO2 in the air for it, just need to make sure you have a fan blowing on the plant so it get fresh supply all the time. I have 2x 80mm PC fans blowing on them, PC fans mounted on redundant PC speaker stands, lol, with cable tie. 2x120mm fans 1 in take , 1 out. All power by a old PC driving wheel power supply rated 1.2A max at 12V. I have 4x30w daylight bulbs on a homemade reflector out of a single sheet of 0.5mm aluminium and 2xwarm white bulb. plants grows fine. Make sure the area is clean and your hands is clean when handle them, I had a bit of problem with germs on plant and its such a pain and it delay growth if it doesn't kill it.

I use MS Outlook calendar to keep track on them, taking photo every 2 days and keep track on nutes. I am growing Short Rider and Chrystal, both from Nirvana Seed (from a online resale store). Short Rider grow faster it seems as its a early strain, and more forgiven. Chrystal seems to be a lot more sensitive.

I had some redish colour from new top leafs b4, its gone after a while and it grows fine. the colour its like the young sterm on a seedling.

The next question you probably going to ask is nutes, do remember, seedlings are sensitive, 1/5 strength at the most. (yes, I did made the mistake of having it a bit strong, then nute burn and delay my growth )
